"Girl Gamers! Unite!"

Introduction

Harvest the Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town is just a rehash of the same old stuff. Which is, Harvest the Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. The only difference is that *gasp* you play as a female farmer!

I think I know why the game developers concocted this game now: they heard the war cries and wails of the female gamers, complaining why there isn't a female version of the game. So the game developers answered their prayer; in which you have … this game.

Story

What story? Oh yeah, instead of being melodramatic like in the previous game (your Grand father died and you inherited the farm), this time you're a female, and after being sick and tired of *gasp* shopping and city life, you looked at this advertisement about life in the country side. Life in the country side eh? So being the courageous female you are, you opt to sell you apartment and quit your job in order to move to the fresh air of the country side. Nothing original or cute.

Game Play

Same as the previous game with nothing new. And I mean absolutely nothing new here. For those who haven't played the previous game, your quest in this game is to farm, by harvesting vegetables and fruits or be raising up domesticated animals to sell for profit. Wit the money in your greedy little hands you're able to upgrade your house, upgrade your farming tools or boy more cows, chicken and sheep!

Of course, this game isn't about farming all day, right? Because its non-linear, you can roam around the town and talk to people. Why not visit the library? If you're bored, how about going fishing? If you fancy, head over to the bar and have a few drinks and flirt with the boys.

There are social events in the game such as horse racing, pot luck, cooking contest and much more.

One thing I should mention that is prominent in this game is the able to cook a lot of different type of recipients. And I mean a lot of receipts! Anything from stew to French fries to pizza to apple juice.

Graphics, Music and Sounds

Music and sounds are catchy and nice. Graphics? I don't have to describe them -- just check out the screen shot. Overall, they did a good job on the graphics department. I like it. Wished they improved the graphics a bit, but alas, it remains the same as the previous instalment.

Conclusion

Girl gamers, unite! Play the game, farm the land, marry the boys, deliver a baby, and play some more. (I'm talking about in game, of course) Play it and enjoy. I sure did.
