Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage

Hi one and all and welcome to my review for the game, Crash Purple: Riptos rampage. This game is one of a two part game, the the other game being Spyro orange, Read the review and see how good this game actually is.

Story 7/10

Cortex and Ripto have decided to work together in this adventure. They had a first plan to poison all the apples in the land, But then they realized that Crash and Spyro don't eat apples so they came up with another plan. The plan is to create A new army of riptocs with Spyros faces, so the heroes will fight each other, the story is the usual collect crystals and gems, although there is no time trial in this game. Simple but effective storyline.

Controls 9/10

The controls for this game are really simple but really effective. All there is to it is That A is to jump and B is to spin.

Graphics 7/10

The graphics in this game are pretty disappointing because if this was a realistic game Crash wil have loads of splinters in him. The characters and enemies have a cartoon look and the game actually lets you see the enemies facial details.

Now let us talk about the levels, the levels have a good kind of look to them although they could use more. They contain a lot colours in them and they make that work brilliantly, but the colour could be used slightly better. The water design though is absolutely amazing.

Length 7/10

The games length is pretty long depending how good you are at games. If you are fairly new it could take anything up to a week to a month because getting all the gems and relics are pretty challenging, although if you are a hardcore gamer it might take you 2 days at the least. Although I completed it in one and a half days on one hundred percent.

Game play 10/10

The game play is absolutely amazing. Due to the following.

Level design

The level design will give you a good challenge providing difficult jumps and sometimes hard enemies. The crates are placed in places where you can't get them without losing a couple of lives.

The first levels

The first levels are like the Warped game levels, they involve underwater levels, jungle levels and arctic levels. They involve not much challenge and then later on in the game they involve more challenge.

Rent or buy

BUY BUY BUY this game if you don't you will regret it.
