Lego Knights' Kingdom
Review by J J N
"Hmm ... fun for kiddies."
Lego Knights Kingdom
I was surprised at first when I heard the title of the game, entitled Lego Knights Kingdom. A game made by Lego? And surely enough, this game is indeed published by Lego. And kudos to them this is actually a decent game with some mundane plot, somewhat playable game play and good graphics!
As the title of the game implies, this game is set during the medieval era where you play as a knight. Actually, I think you're a squire who graduate as a knight, because at the beginning of the game you have to do a tutorial stage, where you practice various controls and features in the game. Then you actually get to play the game!
Because you get to control a knight in this game who can walk in all four directions; he has a sword and a shield in which he uses during combat to defeat the enemies. The knight has the ability to swing the sword, block using his shield, generate energy and shoot a lighting bolt from his sword that's about it. Didn't I mentioned earlier that this is a very simple game?
Anyway, after you finished the tutorial in the game you can proceed into the game without further ado, you dive straight into the mission. The mission range from saving the king from the rival enemies to other tasks the knights have to do.
Setting the issue of simple game play aside, this is a good game! You walk around and fight enemies and do simple puzzles to proceed into the game; for example, to cross this bridge you need to go find a square in the ground and step on it in order to proceed into the game very simple task.
The enemies in the game includes other knights and archers; one thing I'm glad is there isn't any supernatural stuff; like bats, ghosts and wolves attacking you because I think that is just plain silly!
The game doesn't provide much of a challenge to the older audiences out there because, as I mentioned earlier, this is such a simple game suited for kids the age of 12 and under. However, this doesn't mean that adults and teenagers can't enjoy this game. Case in point: in the game you fight the enemies, this includes simple slash and running away and collecting some items not much strategies involved here.
Conclusion
Ok play this game if you want, but it can get boring fast; however I recommend you buy this game for a cousin or something who is 6 and under it should challenge him and help him develop his hand-eye coordination. Bye.
