"Go Go Power Rangers? More liek, fuel my disappointment."

Go! Go! Power Rangers Go! Power Rangers existed in video game form for more then a decade now, back as far as the NES. So, my question is, why is this game so mediocre? You would think by now that perhaps they'll make these Power Rangers game so amazing and innovating, but all you get is something half baked, rehashed, regurgitated, re-make, re-published, reused. It is like traveling back in time again and playing the SNES, because this game feels a lot like it … except this game isn't even close to the Power Ranger games for the SNES.

First off, this game has little story. Secondly, it isn't fun. Take, for example, back in Power Ranger for the SNES, you have two ‘form'. Your normal form, the every day character then the super form, where he/she turns into a power ranger. This causes anticipation for the gamer because he says “Hell yeah! I'm going to morph and kick so many butts!” but there isn't any anticipation in this game. In the first level you're already in morphed form.

The actually game play for this game took a serious regression, like as if some skilled martial artist got maimed in a car accident or something. First off, normally when you pressed down with an attack button the ranger should do a low attack, sweeping the enemy or kicking the enemy's shin. You don't get that in this game.

Another thing … back in SNES, you're able to bounce off the wall, hang on to edges, flip backwards like a ninja. None of that in this game. You see the regression here. It doesn't feel like Power Rangers any more, more like a generic fighting game with generic characters donning costumes.

And what's up with the idea of going around and collecting icons? Supposedly you can summon your, um, creature to help you deliver a strong blow but collecting icons just seems to absurd. Instead, the gamer should gain ‘help points' via beating up the enemies.

Another major flaw in the game is the inability to select your power ranger. Absurd! Ridiculous! Outrageous! Instead you have to use the power ranger because he is involved with the story. What a major disappointment.

Not only that, but what's up with fighting dinosaurs in the game? I know it fits with the theme in the game but it just seems silly fighting these lizards with long sickle. There should be more humans in the game in which you should fight to bring back the realism in the game.

The progression in the game is confusing also. You have to go to a variety of ‘go' places, in which it might lead to a dead end, and you can finish the level in the game without ever going to the myriad of ‘go' section. Think of ‘go' section as a useless side quest.

Let me keep the summary of this game short: DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS GAME. That is all.
