"Bah, just another poor movie to game attempt."

Hey there. Let me ask you a question. What do you get when game developers try to use the name of a famous celebrity / movie and make it into a game? Around 95 percent of the cases, you get something bad or mediocre. This game is mediocre at best. (And for those of you who don't know, this game is based off The Scorpion King, which features The Rock.)

So, you're wondering why this game isn't showered with praises and candy, huh? Because there is hardly anything cool about this game and the fact that the game play it self isn't even that fun. It seems to me that there wasn't much thought put into this game in order to make it a good, solid platform game. Instead what you get is a mix bag – ok game play, ok graphics, and ok story line … oh wait, it wasn't a mix bag. Never mind.

You know, sometime I would think the game developers put more effort into the game or something and polish real nice for the gamers, but instead you get some cookie cutter like this game. For the game play, it is so elementary like you wouldn't believe it. For example, all you can do in this game is move around, jump a bit, and slash your opponent with the weapon. There is usually a two hit combo – like forward slash then slice by pressing the same button. Nothing more.

I would expect at least you can do combos, power slash, light quick slash, or have some other weapons / gadgets with you. , By the way there is an alternative weapon in which you can wield but it is nothing significant because it has the same power as the other weapon.

Now, here is another illogical thing about the game that I tested out. When you touch your enemy, you lose health, ok? Well, that doesn't make much sense, does it? They guy didn't claw you with his talon nor did he slice you with his sword; all he did was walk into you and vice versa. And for one enemy, mummies, they don't even attack you! That's right. All they do is walk straight towards you at a semi-slow pace and you need to kill it before it touches you. Another thing I'm wondering about this game is why every time you destroy an enemy he burns up into a small fireball? Like the mummy for example. Wouldn't it be more logical for them to crumble into dust when you annihilate them?

As for the story line, I couldn't tell you much about it because I wasn't paying attention, but the basic premise goes something about saving someone. I know that much.

Earlier I mentioned that this game is average at best; well, I take that back. This game I worst at best, because it brings nothing but disappointment. There is no redeeming value about this game that would make me a happy gamer. Its mundane, the plot is over used and the graphics for the game isn't that all impressive either.

What ever you do, do not buy this game. I don't recommend you to rent this game either because there are other games in the market that is 100 percent better then this one.
