The Urbz: Sims in the City
Review by Simfan24
"The best game available for the GBA!"
I had never played any Sims game when I bought this game. I never really understood what the big deal about the Sims was- now I do! This game was really a lot of fun. From the moment I first popped it into my GBA I was hooked!
This game is a MAJOR improvement on The Sims: Bustin out (i purchased the Sims; Bustin Out soon after i finished this game). The graphics are similar, but the ones on this game are much more detailed and more realistic. The mini-games (the games you play throughout the game to earn money) are lots funner. The characters are funner in this game, and certain things happen at certain times, making it very realistic too.
The game starts out with you designing your own Sim. You choose what gender they are, what clothes they wear, and how they look. You also take a little quiz. Depending on your answers you are put into 1of 4 "rep groups"- the richies, artisies, streeties, and nerdies. You earn different xizzle beads depending on your answers, too. Xizzles are unique qualities you can buy for your Sim. You can get 10,000 dollars instantly, get a skill point in every category, slow down hunger speeds, etc..
The plot is very simple. Your pretty much a newcomer and have to make friends to become popular. Later in the game you learn of a plot that Daddy Bigbucks has come up with. He wants to buy all of the land in the town and charge everyone $$$ for it. He's getting ridiculous laws passed, and you have to stop him.
It's at the perfect difficulty level. Some tasks that you have to perform are a breeze and other tasks are really difficult and take you a long time to complete. Others cost you large amounts of money, which is kind of annoying. It's pretty long, too- it took me 3 or 4 days to complete the first time I played it.
One of the only things i would complain about would be that your energy bars decrease rapidly and it's a real pain to have to go use the toilet or buy some pizza when your in the middle of an important mission.
I liked this game a lot. It's definitely one of the best games I've gotten and is definitely worth the $20 dollars I spent buying it.
