Ed, Edd n Eddy: Jawbreakers!
Review by MegaMan_Mania
"Ed, Edd n' Eddy + WOW! Entertainment = Enormous Disappointment"
Welcome to my review of "Ed, Edd n' Eddy 'Jawbreakers'". Let me just say that I love the show, my friends do, and so does some of my family. But this is a disappointment to all. Ed, Edd n' Eddy is a show that is about a trio of teens trying always to scam money off of others and spend it on succulent, mouth watering, giant jawbreakers. Ed is a strong nitwit obsessed with chickens and toast, Edd is a genius that is always seen wearing a hat, and Eddy is a trickster who creates the scams and he is their leader. This game is an extension. The local candy store is holding a raffle. The lucky winner gets a box of jawbreakers. Jimmy informs the Ed's of this, but there aren't any tickets left. Eddy plans to trick all the kids into giving him their tickets one way or another. The makers of this game made it a 2 dimensional game, but that is okay the real problem is that they did such a horrible job. Now into detail of the treachery that is "Ed, Edd n' Eddy 'Jawbreakers'".
Story: 6/10
The story is okay. But it lacks change. Naturally you are trying to get raffle tickets. To get the tickets you have to complete tasks to get them. You run into other characters along the way. But it could be better. How? Well, first there should be more conflicts. Like you make Edd mad and you have to make up to him by doing something.
Game play: 2/10
Two words Really Boring: Every level -which there is quite a few- begins to repeat itself. Of the different worlds, there really isn't that much change. All you do is walk to the left, maybe climb some ladders or fly in a jetpack, and collect coins and lives along the way and every so many levels you fight a boss.
But that is the basically the funnest part. Some improvements could be. More of a roaming ability, or even go 3 dimensional, more pick-ups and maybe not so impossible to beat. Your lives go like this. You walk, you get hit or fall, and you go back to beginning or checkpoint. Lame, it needs loads of improvement
Sound/Music: 6/10
When you turn the game on it is the theme song of the show at the title screen.
Each level has its own song. I can't say that they change from level to level. Or that there is a selection of songs for you to choose from.
And when you die you scream.
Replay ability: 1/10
When you run through the story once and you get the full usage out of it. It doesn't really seem that fun to play. The score would be a zero, but the only time to me when it seems good to replay is those boring summer afternoons when your friends are all on vacation and you family is shopping, or for those long cross-state car trips. But I was almost nauseous from playing it in the car, so this is recommended for those with stronger stomachs then mine
Other: 3/10
Some basic little touches that would take no time to put in a game are left out. Yes there is four cheats but they make the game to boring, you cannot change the difficulty leveling even if you prayed to God almighty himself, there is sadly no sub-missions or optional tasks, but there are some good pickups. Helmet we could have done without, same with the wrench if there wasn't fire hydrants. But the trolley, slingshot, hypnodisc hat, and the jet pack were cool. At least they could of made the hypnodisc hat one object not two.
Summary Overview:
All in all, this game well wasn't applied to its full ability. I hardly recommend any one to play this game even if you are obsessed with the show. I hope that I have helped you make a wise decision when it comes down to you and the games.
Over all score (averaged): 4
