"Tales Of The Beginning. The Game That Started It All..."
As many awaited, for this day to come. The first Tales Of game is released for Gameboy Advance. Everyone was waiting and now, it finally came. Tales Of Phantasia, now for Gameboy Advance. This was the first game to be released. The game was released in Japan on the Super Famicom. Now they finally sent it here, to the U.S and Canada, in an english version..

The graphics are very splended. Great graphics I have to say, this makes Gameboy Advance look good! The graphics during gameplay is above average. It isn't corny looking, and not to mis-shaped looking. The graphics are mastered to fit this kind of system. When I first started playing it, which was 4 days ago. I was amazed by the graphics. So clear..so good. Thats all I can say about them.
The characters and the people are created very nice. They all don't just look alike. The character's sprites have been made to perfection. You can actually see their faces and what kind of cloths they are wearing. Its very wonderful!
Score for Graphics: 9/10. Very great for Gameboy Advance! Just wonderful!
o========Battle Graphics========o
They aren't too great but they are better than any other RPG game for GBA. The fights are VERY slow! At first, it really gets you angry and makes you keep saying "Hurry UP!". The fighting is great and how they are made is great. The techniques look awesome and the summons. At the end of the battle, it is not good. It is pretty horrid. When you win, it shows the Exp and the Gald you just earned, which is horrible how it was made like that. Again, at the end of the battle, it is really slow, especially if you summoned Efreet to finish the enemy or the boss off. No, it is not anysort of Lag, thats just how it is, and always will be like that. You cannot stop it how slow it goes.
Score for Battle Graphics: 7.5/10. If only Tales Of Phantasia was released for Gamecube..
o========Sound========o
THE SOUND! THE SOUND! You must be saying "What the heck are they saying?" Who hired these guys? Seriously, this is like hearing a cat scratching againts a blackboard saying "Catnip please." Of course, you will get used to the gameplay sounds. The quotes are terrible. When you first play the game, you cannot understand what Dhaos is saying or anyone else except "Indignatio!". You will get used to them talking and for me, I actually like it. It doesn't bother me at all. At the beginning, it was terrifying!
When you beat a boss or enemy, you cannot understand what they just said. I can't make out what they say either. When they use the techs, it just breezes right through you're ears.
Score For Sound 3/10. POOR QUALITY! They could of at least put some effort into how they sound! *Sigh*
o========Plot========o
The plot is really..well. The plot is pretty cheesy if you ask me. It happens all to fast for me. I haven't beat the game but this is all I no so far. There was once evil in the world. The evil was vanished from the world, sealed in a sort of coffin type thing. The only thing that can resurrect the evil, is two pendants. Soon afterwards, a dark knight steals these pendants and brings back the emperor of the new world, Dhaos. They have been sent back in time to uncover the lost technique, magic. Will our companions save the world thats in the hands of Dhaos? The only way you can find out is if you play it.

I never beat the game intentionally. The plot is great so far but it seems like it went by too fast. All I no of the game is this. There was once an evil force, which made many people suffer in the hands of Dhaos. A group, came and defeated Dhaos and sealed him away in a Tomb. They seperated it into two pendants. If the two pendants are joined, evil will lurk the world once again. There was a dark knight who stole the pendants back to revive Dhaos, which was successful! Our companions are sent in time by a wizard to find the lost technique, magic. Will our companions find the technique? Will they save the world and stop Dhaos? You have to play the game to find out.
Score for Plot 8/10. Pretty good.
o========Overall========o
This game is great so far. Plot is pretty good, sound is bad but hey, at least the game isn't a total wreck.
The score for this game total is
