"Play it thrice or not at all"

I own DragonBallZ: Legacy of Goku I & III. Many complained of Legacy of Goku I only taking an hour to beat except for that annoying puzzle on Namek that took me a few months. All I know, is that there were tremendous improvements from one to three. You can run, train up to level 200 from around level 75, you can wear equipment which have different effects (hp regeneration, extra stat points, faster kai regeneration, additional hp heal...) Everyone has a kind of kamehameha wave and a unique attack as well as super saiyan transformation.

GAMEPLAY:(9/10) I was surprised at how much skill is involved in this game. All the annoying puzzles were thrown out and I leveled up way more times than I ate food. Once you beat the game, there are no more guys you can't kill in one hit so you basically have to start a new file. You also cannot pump a single stat point because your stats cannot be over your level with the exception of equipment bonuses. This game is unlike any other because you can run through the game without minding damage because usually, you can level up at any level in less than a minute. I had no trouble beating this game. In fact, I went from level 80 to 140 in one day so I could fight my level 200 friend.

MULTIPLAYER:(1/10) The multiplayer is the worst in the world. In battle, you can't be over level 130 or else its a question of who gets the first hit. Also, you only get up to 20 zennie which is not worth it at all. The trading is nice because there are some valuable items that are more useful during the beginning of the game that you don't get until later.

STORYLINE:(9/10) The game follows the storyline of the cartoon very well by using cut scenes. The only thing is that the cut scenes are very glitchy. I once had two Goku's standing side by side for an entire boss battle. It is also very annoying when the enemy shoots you and then you turn from a super saiyan to normal, fall down, and then instantly get up as a super saiyan. It is easy to tell that they didn't bother to make the necessary pictures. The cut scenes include accurate dialogue and characters that have the same limitations as you do.

MUSIC AND SOUND :(7/10) The music is the same as the other two. Repetitive flutes and other instruments that sometimes gets annoying. I usually play with the sound off. That makes the game a whole lot better. Although, when I started out, the music was actually pretty good but it gradually got more repetitive. After 20 hours of playing it (not in a row), I just felt I should stop playing for a while.

GRAPHICS :(7/10) The graphics weren't very good, but you can't really judge a Gameboy game's graphics. You can clearly see the people and identify them. However, it deserves a "7" because I believe its only 70% as clear as some games that I have played.

REPLAY VALUE :(10/10) The replay value is the only reason I am even posting. I beat it almost three times. The thing is, there are always new challenges to make for yourself. I have my first account with all characters and most items (15 hours), I have my second with all the stats built into more fun places (8 hrs), and I have my third one with no stat points spent at all and I killed Buu about 3 times (he has up to 100,000 hp) by doing 20 or 30 damage with no endurance(10 hrs, not complete).

OVERALL :(9/10) “DragonBallZ: Buu's Fury” is a nice, long game that makes all my other games seem boring. It isn't one of those game that would become really popular and become the next big thing in school to talk about, but I think if you can imagine Legend of Zelda games without the puzzles but with stat points, you could come close to this game. If not for the fact that it is so fun to play this game over and over, I would probably rate this game a 4 or 5 out of 10.
