2 HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
-------------------------
2a HOW THIS SPOILER IS SORTED
Cards are sorted first by element, then by Pokemon number, (then by card
name, in the case of Dark "warui" cards or other specially-titled cards)
then by experience level. Trainer cards are sorted by Japanese name. This
is the same order used throughout game.
-------------------------
2b SPOILER / TRANSLATION FORMAT
Pkmn # - Card Title - Experience Level -->
#000 POKEMON NAME LV100
GB1: Where to get in the TCG for GB1 (w/ rarity)
GB2: Where to get in the TCG for GB2 (w/ rarity)

Japanese: Where to get the Japanese card (w/ rarity, if any)
Stage: What the card evolves from, if an Evolution card.

Out (multiple of 10 between 30-120)
Element: Type of Pokemon: Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Fighting,
Psychic, Colorless
Weakness: Damage given to this card by this type of Pokemon will be

Attack Effect (if any)
[C] Sample Attack: 0
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is worth a lot
of money; if tails, you can't get it through normal gameplay
(you must Card Pop!).
Pokemon information such as info text and species name (as well as length
and weight measurements) are not translated because that aspect of the
card is not gameplay-critical.
Attack cost icons are exactly as shown: [CC] indicates two colorless
Energy icons, [WWC] indicates two water Energy icons and one colorless,
and [GGGG] indicates four grass Energy icons. This is a little different
from most Pokemon TCG spoilers, but I think this format is clearer.
-------------------------
2c ELEMENT TYPES
G Grass green leaf
R Fire red flame
W Water blue droplet
L Lightning yellow lightning bolt
F Fighting orange fist
P Psychic purple eye
C Colorless gray star
This is the order in which the elements are sorted in the game, and this
is the order used in this spoiler.
-------------------------
2d RARITIES AND LOCATIONS
Japanese and English card rarities and locations often vary. The TCG for
GB2 follows the Japanese conventions as a rule, but there are many
exceptions. For these reasons I have included separate entries for
English real-life, Japanese real-life, TCG for GB 1, and TCG for GB 2
locations.
RARITIES:
C Common circle
U Uncommon diamond
R Rare star
RH Rare-Holo star, holo print in illus.
UR Ultra-Rare white star
In the TCG for GB1, locations are:
Colosseum (Pikachu Booster Pack)
Evolution (Charizard Booster Pack)
Mystery (Articuno Booster Pack)
Laboratory (Mewtwo Booster Pack)
or promotional cards (aka Promos).
In the TCG for GB2, locations are:
Bulbasaur Pack
Moltres Pack
Omanyte Pack
Mr. Mime Pack
Pidgeot Pack
Rocket R Pack
Rocket Grunt Pack
or promotional cards (aka Promos).
relevant English real-life sets include:
Base Set (blank)
Jungle (flower)
Base Set 2 (poke ball with the number [2])
Fossil (bone hand)
Rocket (the letter R)
Legendary Collection (medal)
Numbered Promos (black star); an open ended promo set
NOTE: English real-life sets are the only sets that distinguish Rare
cards and Rare-Holo cards by rarity
relevant Japanese real-life sets include:
Base Set (blank)
Jungle (flower)
Fossil (bone hand)
Rocket (the letter R)
Vending Sheets 1-3 (b/w poke ball on its side)
Gym 1-2 (poke ball with word "gym")
Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge, Erika, Sabrina, Blaine's Decks (gym logo)
Intropack (bulbasaur or squirtle icon)
Intropack Neo (chikorita or totodile icon)
various promos, including: "CD Promo" (Pokemon Best Collection CD),
Corocoro Comics (monthly manga serial magazine), book inserts, game
inserts, commercial campaigns, and others.
Some cards are GameBoy-original cards and cannot be obtained in real-
life. (Some real-life cards may be based off of Gameboy-original cards,
but in actuality have altered text to account for the lack of a random
factor in a real-life environment.)
