statusTake a pokemon along that knows a dark, pyscic or ground type pokemon along to beat the gym because the ttrainers there have members of the gastly evolutionary line. Also, to get surf, go to the dance hall and defeat the kimono sisters then talk to the old man with his rhydon.

Get past it? You defeat Morty in a battle. If you're having trouble getting to him, try and find a map by using Google on how to get to him. Once you defeat him, you'll be able to use surf outside of battle.
