Am I right in thinking that they can only be found by using the card pop feature?
If you mean that you have 222 out of 226 cards, then you get the last four by defeating the Grand Masters.
But there are also 2 extra cards that are only obtained by the "Card Pop" feature, which can only be done with 2 copies of this game.

statusThere are only 2 special cards that can be gathered by doing Card Pop
Also there are 4 cards that are only acquired after you defeating all the Grand Masters
