Asked on: 3/5 10:44AMI converted my thief to a jester, then a sage. I leveled him up to 41, but he did not learn the final spells of either the cleric or mage. Every guide says the spell progression of the sage is identical... practice is proving otherwise.
To further test this, I leveled up a mage to 39, then changed them to a sage. They also did not learn chance at sage 40.
It depends on your intelligence level. The higher your intelligence, the sooner you can learn the spell. Your character will eventually get the spell, just keep level building until you do.

statusYou don't always learn spells exactly at the level you're "supposed to". Sometimes it comes a level early, or even up to a couple levels late. I often didn't get sacrifice until at least level 42.
Use the save-reset trick before leveling up.
Don't take it for granted that if you reset after you level up, you'll get the same amazing spell(s).
