First of all, if you lose any battle, reset without saving.
Also, this method must be used on your *first* playthrough.

Chapter 01: Answers to Piccolo's jar questions: "Save, Attack, Beam, Defense, OK".
Battle 01(vs Piccolo): use Kid Gohan.
Battle 02(vs Nappa): use Kid Gohan.
Battle 03(vs Vegeta): use Goku.
Chapter 04: Get Yajirobe's sword, talk to Krillin, talk to Yajirobe.
Battle 04(vs Vegeta): use Kid Gohan
Chapter 05: Get the Dende card, choose "LEFT" when the Namekian attacks.
Battle 05(vs Guldo): use Kid Gohan
Battle 06(vs Recoome): use Kid Gohan
Battle 07(vs Jeice and Burter): use Goku and Kid Gohan
Chapter 08: Talk to Krillin, get a card from a ship in the upper left corner, find Dragonballs.
Battle 08(vs Ginyu and Jeice): use Kid Gohan and Vegeta
Battle 09(vs Freeza): use Goku
Chapter 10: Find Frog Ginyu, say "No" to Bulma, get card from shattered rocks somewhere, say "Yes" to Bulma.
Battle 10(vs Freeza): use SSJ Goku
Chapter 11: Talk to Piccolo, then find him 4 times. Talk to ChiChi and then to Goku.
Battle 11(vs Goku): use Kid Gohan
Chapter 12: Talk to the two men, then Chiaotzu, then Bulma, then Yajirobe.
Battle 12(vs Android 19): use SSJ Goku
Chapter 13: Talk to Krillin, then Vegeta, then Piccolo, then find Tien/Tenshinhan.
Battle 13(vs Dr.Gero): use Piccolo
Chapter 14: Keep talking to Trunks until he talks about the future, then find Cell's shell.
Battle 14(vs Cell): use Piccolo fused with Kami
Battle 15(vs Android 17): use Piccolo fused with Kami
Chapter 16: Look 8x into the jar in the bottom left corner until you get a card. Go to the house behind Goku, there is a note from Mr.Popo. Keep reading it until you get a card. Then keep looking and you'll get another card eventually. Now talk to Goku.
Battle 16(vs Androids 16 and 18): use Kid Gohan and SSJ Goku.
Battle 17(vs Cell): use SSJ Goku
Battle 18(vs Cell Jr.): use SSJ2 Kid Gohan
Battle 19(vs Cell): use SSJ2 Kid Gohan
Battle 20(vs Cell): use SSJ Vegeta
Chapter Ex.1: Talk to all people, then to the Androids.
Battle Ex.1(vs Androids 17 and 18): use SSJ Trunks
Battle Ex.2(vs Cell): use SSJ Trunks
Chapter 21: Find Piccolo and Videl, then talk to Goten.
Battle 21(vs Goten): use SSJ Gohan
Battle 22(vs Trunks): use Goten
Chapter 23: Talk to everyone, then find Vegeta.
Battle 23(vs Vegeta): use SSJ2 Goku (U won't unlock majin vegeta the first walkthrough, unlock him on the next walkthrough)
Battle 24(vs Fat Buu): use Majin Vegeta
Chapter 25: Say "no" to the upper left jar, say "no" two times to the lower left jar.
Battle 25(vs Trunks): use SSJ Goten or SSJ Kid Trunks
Battle 26(vs Buu): use SSJ3 Gotenks
Battle 27(vs Buu): use SSJ Gohan
Chapter 28: Find Hercule, then find his dog, then find Dende.
Battle 28(vs Buu-Gotenks): use Mystic/Ultimate/Strongest Warrior Gohan
Battle 29(vs Buu-Gohan): use SSJ Vegetto
Chapter 30: FIRST find Trunks, then go to Vegeta, THEN find Gohan, Goten and LASTLY, Piccolo. Then you'll get a card.
Battle 30(vs Kid Buu): use SSJ2 Goku
Ending Family Picture: RAPIDLY PRESS START.

Now you will unlock Battle Mode, Gotenks, Vegetto, Evil King Piccolo and... the Special Card!
