Remember the classic Bomberman games where you walk around a room, blowing up soft blocks and enemies? Well, in some recent Bomberman games, that isn't what you did. You'd race Louies, Jump around like on a side-scrolling game, and jump around like in a 3-D side scrolling game, but there was no classic Bomberman touch in it! Well, finally, classic Bomberman comes to the Gameboy Color!

First, let me say how much fun the levels are! Well... they are a blast! The level designs are very good, and the features in it are just excellent! Some of the features include, Charabom collecting. Charabom collecting is much like Pokemon. You find a Charabom, feed it plenty of food to make it stronger, then you battle it against another peron's Charabom. Another feature is bonus rounds! There are a ton of different bonus rounds! You have to access them with a remote controll, but I'm sure most of you people out there have one ;).

Story- 8

There is an evil computer called ''Brain'' who is turning all living forms on all five planets into metal objects! Bomberman was informed of this by the professor. Bomberman must rescue charaboms from each planet, clear every area on the map, and destroy the Brain! But it seems as if Bomberman has a rival, his name is Max. He told Bomberman before he left, ''Lets see who can rescue all of the Charaboms first!''.

Audio/Video- 7

This game is for Gameboy Color ONLY, so you can expect some very nice graphics in this game! The graphics in every level is very nice, and the short cinema scenes at the beginning and end of the game are amazing as well! The music is pretty decent. It won't get annoying after a while, but it isn't the best game music either. The sound effects in the game are what you hear in every Bomberman game. Bombs blasting, picking up items, etc.

Replay Value- 9

There is so much to do in the game! There are 80 levels in the game, with tons of hidden bonus rounds, and many Charaboms to train. I don't think you'll be bored! If you find someone with Bomberman Max Red: Challanger, you will be able to recieve 20 extra levels from that game, so you'll have a total of 100 levels! Not to mention, you'll be able to battle Charaboms as well! This game will last you a very long time! Like I said before, this game is a blast!

Rent or Buy?

Definately, BUY. If you have enjoyed the previous Bomberman games, and you are looking for some good Gameboy Color titles, you MUST buy this! That is all I have to say now. Have fun!
