Review by GrimWolf

"This game is pretty challenging, but somewhat low-tech."

This game takes place seven years after the fall of Outer Heaven(Haven?) Snake, who had gone to Alaska to kick back, gets called in to deal with someone known only as 'General', who had hired a mercenary group called the Black Chamber. As you explore the many stages, you'll learn about a sole surviving member of Delta Force, a team of experts sent in to exterminate 'General' and Black Chamber. You'll battle many enemies, and several bosses. The members of Black Chamber are Pyro Bison, Marionette Owl, Slasher Hawk, and their leader, Black Arts Viper. You'll even have to take out the powerful Metal Gear itself. You'll also delve into a huge conspiracy, where friend becomes foe, and enemy becomes ally. It's up to you to unravel the mysteries surrounding Delta Force, Black Chamber, and Metal Gear. Will you make it through, or will you sleep with the fishes?

Graphics: 6
The graphics in this game are not that good. There's only about five different types of soldiers, and then there's cameras and dogs. The levels look pretty similar as well. The only good thing about the graphics is the cinematic sequences, which are good for GBC.

Play Control: 7
The play control isn't that bad. It's easy to maneuver, but aiming can sometimes be difficult, and steering the Nikita missles is no cakewalk. It's pretty easy to escape from enemy conflicts, which gets this category its 7 rating.

Game Design: 7
This game is alot like games of its type, but it stands out in some aspects of the control and the exploring that can be done.

Sound: 5
The sound is nothing special. Konami could have spent more time on it.

Satisfaction: 7
The game provides hours of game play, and the stealth and strategy involved can give any action fan a run for their money.

Rent/Buy:
If you like action, GBC, and previous Metal Gear games, I suggest you give this one a whirl.
