"A great game to add to your collection"
Azure Dreams, the story of a boy who is searching for his father who mysteriously disappeared in a monsterous tower so many years ago...
Gameplay: 9/10
This game will probably take quite a while to finish. It's fairly easy if you're familiar with Zelda type games. The control could be a little better, but that's o.k.
Story: 3/10
Alright, it's not the most original story in the world.
WHO CARES?! You'll be too busy having fun to notice this game has a bad story. There are plenty of friends to make along the way, humans and monsters alike. You meet your rival, Ghosh, who will occasionally challenge you in the tower. There is also his sister who bothers you quite frequently too.
Audio: 8/10
The music fits the atmosphere of the game, but can get repetitive at times. If it bugs you, you can just turn down the volume.
As for the SFX, the sound of your weapon hitting an enemy is standard. When you've got a monster shooting a fireball,
it makes the proper sound(fire sounds like fire, water like water, etc.)
Visual: 9/10
The graphics are pretty good, considering this is a GBC game. The fight sequences are not really that good, but they aren't that bad either. It even shows what you have equipped during a battle. Everyone together now, ooooohhhhhh.
Spells are done nicely too. When you talk to a character, sometimes it will show their face. They look like typical anime characters. Nothing special, but it's a nice touch.
Replay: 10/10
With so much stuff to do, and so many monsters to capture it will take a LOOOOOONNNNNGGG time to finish. There are over 100 monsters to capture! The tower is HUGE, and it will take many journeys to get the most valuable items.
Buy or Rent?
Buy it of course. It's worth the $30 it cost me.
