"An alright game for the Game Boy Colour..."

Well!! After the release of the mega-selling THPS on both Playstation and N64, the creaters obviously wanted to make another quick buck, using the game for all that it's worth. THPS on the GBC is safe to say, not the best game...and is by FAR not as good on the GBC. But...after all...you GBC expectations really wouldn't be as high anyways considering.
Graphics:6
THPS on the GBC isn't the best game in the graphics department. When you're doing say a 360 shovit, you get a few seconds of a still-frame of your character doing that move, but they really all look the same anyways. Halfpipe mode looks alright, all of the characters look the same, except for the different colours of clothing. In the championship and race modes the backrounds are detailed quite well though for a GBC game.
Gameplay:4
When you're doing the championship, or race mode, you get an over-head view of your character, racing through the level. When you first get the game, you might always get beaten because the computer opponents seem to be a mile or two ahead of you. You can also get power-ups, but they only last for a few seconds. The halfpipe mode looks half-decent, and is fun to play for a little while, but after a little time you will eventually get bored of it. It also sort of looks cheesy when you fall from doing let's say a backflip.
Sound:2
Not that much except the title screen which has a sort of annoying sound to it, and in the halfpipe doesn't have much sound either. In race and championship modes you basicly only hears a motor-like sound when your player gets a power-up, and a few other sound effects. Below-average for the GBC.
Controls:5
Average, but not the best. Sort of a button-mashing game to say the least. If you're into these types of games, it might be alright.
Replay Value:2
If you can defeat championship mode, then there's no point in going back and playing it again. You shouldn't give this to a child around the age of 5 either, because they will probably feel frustrated with lack of controls at times, and the computer's AI.
Overall:6
This game was just ''Above Average'', but is really nothing more. Mild recomendation.
