Tech Deck Skateboarding
Review by OTACON120
"Hey, It sucks, but at least Tech Deck keeps its reputation!"
Hmmm.... you know those little hand-held skateboard figures, also known as ''Tech Deck'' skateboards? Well, now their in their own game, and torturing men and women alike, all over the world. Read on.
Graphics: 2/10
The graphics are terrible. The courses you are on look like you're just taking a Tech Deck board, and moving it up against a post on a wall. The main character, ''Finger Guy'', doesn't exactly look like a thumb either.... it looks like; well, let me put it this way: He might as well be called ''Mr. Hairy Hacky Sack''.
Music / Audio: 5/10
The music and sound are average. Not great, but not crappy. But, it's pretty sad when the Music and Sound are the best things about a video game. It's better if you just turn the volume down on this one. It'd do everyone around you a huge favor.
Game Play: 2/10
Aghhh.... get it away.... the collision is horrible. But, then again, Tech Deck keeps it's realism alive. Just as it is as hard as hell to pull of any tricks with an actual Tech Deck board, it is as hard as hell to pull off tricks on Tech Deck Skateboarding. But what sucks is that pulling off tricks isn't even what you're supposed to do -- THERE ISN'T EVEN A SCORING SYSTEM!!! You're objective is to ride around and collect different decks. Description of first level: Ride around, pick up different decks, do tricks when you're bored, when you're finished collecting the decks, go to next level. Lather, rinse, repeat 9 more times. 10 levels of horrific boredom. Without getting scored on, this is basically just a scavenger hunting game, trying to feed off of the boom of skateboarding.
Overall Entertainment: 1/10
All I can say is: Guys all over can have a better time playing their own version of ''Finger Guy'' in the corner of their pants pocket than they can playing Tech Deck Skateboarding. As for entertainment, I can say that side effects may include suicide, heart attack, and flaming diarrhea. This would be decent, just decent, if it only had a scoring system. Even then,it still wouldn't provide much fun.
Overall Score: 2/10
This game is horribly boring. The graphics are average, the sound and music is horrendous, and there is basically no influence to keep the player going on through 10 levels. If you are a big fan of Tech Deck, then maybe, just maybe this game is worthy of a rental. If you think Tech Deck is some futuristic group of playing cards, then stay away from this dud at all costs.
