The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

Review by saxy

"A very fun game that will only really appeal to zelda lovers"

Before I start I would like to say that there are two games ages and seasons. They will be referred to as this in the review

Story: It's kind of basic, you see, the oracle of ages who controls time is captured by an evil sorceress named Veran. And guess what, you have to save her! How fantastic. Actually there is a VERY STUPID loophole in the plot. The whole dang thing wouldn't of happened if you didn't move this one block. But other than that its okay

STORY SCORE: 610

Graphics: ABSOLUTELY no different than zelda DX, its been over 3 years and they haven't improved SQUAT. But zelda dx's graphics were um okay so its not too bad

GRAPHICS SCORE: 510

Gameplay: Yep its zelda, this can't be bad. It follows the same great Zelda formula. And the game is just as if not more addictive than link's awakening. And now Link gets upgrades to weapons that were not upgradeable before such as roc's cape (roc's feather level two, but its in seasons) And Link gets new kirby style pet helpers, Namely Moosh the fat flying bear, rick the boxing kangaroo, and dimitri the floating thingie, VERY COOL

GAMEPLAY SCORE: 1010

Extra cool stuff that wasn't in Awakening: as I said before you get the helpers you get the items, and ages is actually half a a huge other game along with it's other game seasons (you can link the together.) You can also get passwords from one game to transfer other stuff from one game to another so you can get all the items in both games. There are also the introduction of magic seeds which all have different abilities and a gun to shoot them. KINDA COOL

EXTRAS SCORE: 1010

Which one to get first: yes this is a review of ages but if you like puzzles than get ages its loaded with them! But if you like action and fights get seasons, and seasons items are cooler (level two boomerang!) But eventually you can combine both games so you can get all the stuff no matter which one you get first.

FINAL SCORE: 910 Very fun, but absolutely no technical improvements, also the link system is hard to explain, so it only really gets its full appreciation from a true Zelda fan
