Bionic Commando: Elite Forces

"One of the best games I ever played for the GBC"

It’s raining hard today and I can’t go outside or anything, and I can’t play my Games(don’t ask, long story) so I decided to right a review for this game. So here’s my review! Hope you like it!

Bionic Commando elite forces is AMAZING!!! Who cares if you can’t jump in the game, it makes the game harder! There is a bionic commando for the Gameboy, I never played that though. I’m pretty sure if you played that game, you’ll love this one even better. This game is perfect! I love everything about this game. You have 3 save slots and I used all of them. I play this game so much! If I lost this game! Would I be mad or what. The special snipe mode feature is really cool. It’s also challenging too. I just wish they give you more time to snipe the people because I always get to the last person and then the darn time runs out! You can choose from 2 characters (one boy, one girl). There’s lot of items in the game, which is really cool. There are weapons and the 2 characters get 2 different weapons. You can unlock more weapons by beating levels, which I think is pretty hard! The 4 weapons that you can choose from are all awesome. After you choose the weapon you want, you can choose something to help you beat the level. After that, you get to choose armor, which makes it that when people shoot you, it doesn’t take that much health away. Finally when you’re done with that, you get to choose your decoder. All that stuff is really neat. There are so many levels to choose from, and I love to play every one of them. I had this game for such a long time and I still play it. I like this game even more than a GBA game. The only thing I don’t like that much about this game is there hardly isn’t any codes for this game. I’m not saying I like to cheat (even though this game is very hard! Heh) but I always like to beat the game and then on the second file cheat. I still think this is a great game though! Every level is really long packed with enemies and hard obstacles. Some stages have bosses too. You just don’t shoot at the boss until he dies. You have to figure out how to kill him. It took me hours to find out how to destroy the second boss. It was so hard I almost gave up! The bosses are definitely a big challenge in this game. When your on the level select screen, you will notice little trucks riding around the levels. The first time I saw that, I was like what the? So I ran into one. Then it said enemy attack! This is a great special feature in the game. The camera is in a birds view, which is pretty cool. You go around and try to escape, but all these enemies will be trying to attack you! After when your right at the exit, there might be a tank there waiting for you! Well anyways, you think the review is over now? Well it has just begun!

GRAHPICS

The graphics are beautiful! There really colorful too. I never seen Gameboy color graphics like this before. Capcom did such a wonderful job on the graphics. The characters look really cool! I like how they did the man commando. He’s wearing a red and blue armor suit. I also like how they made the woman commando. I just think everything is awesome. The graphics are one of the coolest 2D graphics I have ever seen for the Gameboy Color. When I let my friend play this game, he loved it and thought it was a gameboy Advance game! (even though he was playing it on the gameboy color handheld, yeah yeah, he’s weird). One of my favorite parts about the graphics is the background. It’s excellent! I think they did a very good job designing the background. My favorite background is the first level. Well anyways, the graphic get a 9.2 out of 10. I think there very excellent and good. That’s my comment for the graphics

SOUND AND MUSIC

The sound is okay. On the level select screen, it kind of annoys me when you move to a different level, this guy will say something like ten four. Well, There’s not that much to say about the sound except that, but the music! I love the music. If they has a bionic commando CD, I would buy it even if it cost $50. Well actually no, about 20 bucks. Anyways, the music is great. Every level has music. I would just listen to the music instead of playing the game. There’s this one level which I like a lot that had really good music. There was this one part that I liked a lot, but it was like at the end of the song, so I would just leave my handheld on until the part came up. *laughing out loud* that’s how much I like the music. When I would play this game, my friends will come up to me and they’ll have headphones in there hand saying “can I listen to the music while your playing??????” Heh, I would say no. I gave the sound and music a 8.4 because I didn’t like the sound that much. If I made the sound and music separately, I would of gave the sound a 7.6 and the music a 9.0(but I’m too lazy to do that) Alright, the sound and music gets a 8.4 and I think it’s great and all! GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is looooooooooooong. I don’t remember how long it took me to beat this game (Because the game doesn’t have a timer that records how long you played) and I didn’t record how long I beat the game. Also, I beat it a long time ago so it would be hard to remember. *Gasping* but I think this game took me about a month to beat. It’s really hard and is a challenge. I got stuck on so many parts it took me forever to beat them. I also had to beat the game with the girl too, so that took me about 3 weeks to beat (because I got used to the game) Still when you play the game as the girl, some things are different.

DIFFICULTY

This game is hard The levels are tricky, the bosses are tough, your bionic claw makes the whole game different. When you first start off, it will be very hard! *laughing out loud* I was horrible when I first tried the game. I was going to return the game back, but I kept on playing it until I got the use of it. I think the last levels are the hardest in a game. I think there really cool though. This game would be unbeatable without your bionic claw! You couldn’t even beat the first level. So yeah, this game is a challenge! The thing that bugs me the most are those tanks in the enemy attack levels. You get hit once and it takes so much health away! They also take a lot of hits to defeat. I have a strategy to beat them though, heh, I’m not going to tell it though, this is a review!!! For some reason, I didn’t think the last boss was that hard, I think because when I fought the first boss, I didn’t know anything and it was hard and later on I got used to the game and liked mastered it. Well, I don’t know, I just remember he was hard but not much of a challenge. There’s nothing wrong with that though. Well, the difficulty gets a 8.9 out of 10

Not that bad of a story, I liked it a lot. I think it could have been a little better, but I still like it and all.

You’ll want to play this game after you beat it. I played it over 4 times! I beat the game with each character 2 times. After you beat the game, you still haven’t beaten it with the other person that you didn’t choose to play with. Start a new file! I usually don’t start any new games now though. I just play the levels over and over again.

PLAY CONTROL

Nice play control. When you use the bionic claw...it might be a little hard at first, but you’ll get used to it. I never get frustrated with the play control. There’s nothing wrong with it! It’s smooth, nice and I like it a lot. The only thing that sort of bugs me is in snipe mode, when you scroll down, the control sort of is hard. Also, in snipe mode, when you shoot it takes a while to reload. There’s nothing else I don’t like about the play control. That’s it! I think the play control deserves a 8.6 out of 10.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUY this game!!!! You can’t beat it in just a one day rental so buy it. It’s worth the money too!
