"Battle For Survival Moves To Gameboy"

When I first heard about Warlocked, I knew I wanted it. The fact that it was a real time strategy game was enough to make me want it. It made me want it even more when I found out it dealt with building up armies for either the beasts or humans. And there was the thing about the wizards. This isn't really one of my favorite games ever, but, I still like it a lot.

Story Line: You play either as humans or beasts. The goal for both are about the same. Both involve wiping out the opposing forces and capturing wizards.

Game Play: It takes a few minutes to get used to the controls and using the cursor. Controlling the armies can get a little annoying at time. For one, the soldiers tend to get in the way of others from time to time. Another is the fact that, sometimes, when you tell a unit to go somewhere, one or two, and sometimes more, will go the opposite way you tell them too.

Graphics: The graphics are ok. The overview of the game is somewhat like that of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Nothing more is needed to say really.

Characters: This game doesn't have exactly the greatest character development in it. Ok, so, maybe there is no character development in it. But, what the heck, it's still a good game none the less.

Gameplay: I've found myself playing this game at least about ten times since I received it. But, the bad thing is you have to find someone that also has a Warlocked pack and have a link cable to get all the wizards.

Difficulty: The game is relatively easy. There's like one mission for both Human and Beast army that will probably prove hard to you at first. But, trust me, think of a good strategy, they will get tremendously easier. Especially the Beast level. But, other than that, it's not a too difficult game to beat.

Ending: Both endings are alright. The only problem I had was the fact that at the end of either armies you play, only a short speech is given by the chief or princess. But, I've been more disappointed by endings before.

Rent or Buy: Well, it's pretty much up to you. I knew I'd like it and I went ahead and bought it.
