Dragon Warrior III
Review by Loto
"By far the best role playing game for Game Boy Color!"
To start off Dragon Warrior III is the prequel to Dragon Warrior I & II, and one of my favorite role playing games. A must buy for any role playing game fan; anyhow, here is my review.
Gameplay-10/10
The class changing system is one of the best in any role playing game. They have classes like Hero (there is only one hero of course), Warrior, Jester, Mage, Cleric, Thief, Dealer and Sage. The battle system is like any other Dragon Warrior game. There are also a lot of fun mini games (monster metals and the track game [forget how to spell it]), and when you beat the game there are even more after quests for you to do. This game should keep you busy for a while.
Sound-10/10
Well for a Game Boy Color game, it has a very good sound track. It is not like you are going to go around humming the themes, but it is not annoying like most other Game Boy Color games.
Graphics-10/10
Once again for a Game Boy Color game, it is great! The environments, monsters, characters, etc. are all great. There is even a little cinema in the beginning that sets the stage for the story which is cool. The only thing more I could ask for is that there would be backgrounds in back of the battles like Dragon Warrior II had. That is only minor though, so it still deserves a 10.
Story-9/10
Like the other early Dragon Warrior games (I & II) the story is not that big. It is mostly like a slay the dragon and save the world story. This game has a little more to that, that makes it more interesting than Dragon Warrior I & II. Like in most of the towns there is a little side quest to do. The story starts off kind of slow, but gets pretty good at the end.
Overall-10/10
If you are looking for a role playing game on Game Boy Color, this is the game. A great game that should keep you busy for awhile. I defiantly recommend it.
