Warriors of Might and Magic

Review by Paulos

"The great game that never got a chance..."

This is by far one of the greatest games of the Might and Magic series, it also beats Heroes of Might and Magic Gameboy Color version game. Why? Because it is MADE with enough spice and enough fun things to do to make it a pleasureful time to play such a great game.

You play a hero who is trapped in a cell after fighting enemies, and the castle you are in is being invaded by alot of monsters. A human runs up to your cell, kills the guard, and opens the door for you, setting you free. He explains to you that you must be careful and MUST escape before the castle explodes. He gives you his shield to have more might and power in battle, and then he disappears suddenly after gasping loudly.

Now you must go through the hallway in this odd castle to escape, you are unarmed remember, it will be a difficult quest to finish at this time of your abilities without a sword to use, and just a shield.

In the beginning, there will be a few evil creatures that try to follow you the whole time in the first room, you must run away from them and you can also JUMP from the ground into the air to pick up a little bit of speed. You must run down and go through a secret passage that is located on the right of the wall.

To me, that is a main reason this game is so great, how you could move your hero through secret passageways, attack enemies also, and jump to new courses and mazes. A great job by the makers of this game, this game never earned a true chance to be great in the eyes of the gaming people... but... it truly IS great to the gaming veteran's eyes...

Graphics: 40%
Words: You will have to admit, the graphics are very degraded and look a little bad. But to me, in this game, it has to have bad graphics, other wise if it had lesser graphics the game would have worse gameplay! Really, compare it and see for yourself!

Sound: 88%
Words: VERY NICE MUSIC TUNES FOR ALL THE QUESTS YOU WILL TAKE! Many music tunes are in this game, and the sound effects and just magnificent!

Replay: 70%
Words: Alot of replay is involved in this game, really. And that is due to the fact that how you can move your hero around so freely and easily without hassle, is so much true fun to ultimate gamers such as I.

Gameplay: 97%
Words: Gameplay is the BEST thing about this game. You can move your hero all around the room, he can JUMP, attack, and use his shield at times. There is a small HP chart, and Spell chart where you can even use magic at times. You can also move around the whole area with NO HASSLE, and when you have to figure out a maze, there is one where you must move to the left and up WHILE jumping from large rocks before they break off and fall into the pits! FUN!

Story: 70%
Words: Your hero must defeat the evil monsters that are plaguing his world and land, and your must also gain items and treasures throughout this quest.

Characters: 85%
Words: Your Hero is without a doubt on the top thirty list of greates RPG heroes ever in my list, really

Final Words: You probably think I am foolish to post this game as a 9 and not a 1 or a 2. But you must remember, if you do not PLAY a game right you will not truly UNDERSTAND and enjoy FULLY that a game can be a great success if you can just put your mind to it better. Without a doubt, worth buying at even $40! Go buy it! Compare to all the things I said in the review, and play it that way, then you will see a difference in better gameplay! The game is hard, but it will get easier! Good luck!
