"A fun RPG for the Gameboy Color."

This game starts out as you are a very young boy who must go into a large tower that your father all of a suddenly disappeared into a long time ago... now it is you who must find him, with so many monsters to capture like Pokemon, this game has an action, rpg type of style like the original Zelda games, this will be a fun game for most rpg fans to play...

Also, with the battle type of mode in this game, it semi could remind you of the Pokemon Yellow game, but seriously this game is a bit lower than Pokemon.

The fact is Azure Dreams is on the okay-good list of Gameboy Color rpg games that have ever been created, this is not a GREAT game, but it is quite fun.

Graphics: 23%
Words: Well I thought the Gameboy Color's graphics with their 16-24 bit machine hardware would be able to improve the slightly odd graphics of when you move around with the fuzziness, and when you move the young boy in the tower sometimes you will fight monsters and they look hideous as in drawing, I mean, seriously, in COLORs and GRAPHIC value this is a quite real horrid game if you rate it by graphics... I am not bad mouthing the graphics, I just personally believed the colors, graphics, and the VALUE in this game was not a lot, and I personally believe it was because of it being released on the Gameboy Color. Perhaps if it was released on the 32 bit Gameboy Advance that would be a bit better... but it was not released on Advance, it was released on Color, and that is my rating for Azure Dreams' graphics.

Sound: 75%
Words: I enjoyed the sound effects because when you would fight monsters the effects would sound sort of like Pokemon's, and the sound monsters made sounded kind of funny at some certain times and points of the game... but not all the time. The music was very good in all parts of the game, that is something they did very, very well.

Replay: 30%
Words: Really, there IS replay in this game, I just failed to see a bit of it. Sure, I said 30%, but that is basically nothing compared to Pokemon's. But it will still be fun to play the mini games, and trying to find items on the other quests in the tower... but after you beat the main game it is just about over for you there.

Gameplay: 80%
Words: The gameplay was unusual and great. You could move your boy around and attack monsters and THEN fight them, which is quite good if you are weakened and want to weaken that enemy before you fight it. Great fun.

Story: 12%
Words: Terrible storyline.

Characters: 20%
Words: The fact is, I think I will stick with Pokemon.

Final Words: Either way, this is a FUN RPG for the Gameboy Color... but not great, and nothing like Pokemon. Still worth adding to your collection, but not for a lot of money. I just went up to $15. That was IT.
