Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble
Review by Spitball Sparky
"Tilt and tumble into trouble"
Kirby is on the GameBoy Color and is ready to take on King De de De once again. But getting to the last boss is going to be harder than any other Kirby game ever to hit the shelves.
Story-8/10: The story fits the game perfectly. One day Kirby was resting on a cloud. He awoke to see Waddle Dee racing away from Kirby. When our little pink hero looked up, he noticed right away that something was not right. There were no stars in the sky! So Kirby set off to set things straight. See, the story is fine.
Graphics-7/10: The graphics are okay too. You can easily see what is an enemy and what is not. The life meter is a bit small, but you usually die because you roll of a cliff and not because you have no life left. Graphics are good too. No problem.
Sound-7/10: The game has cute little beeping sounds for music. You will probably recognize a few of the tunes right away. The music/sound is nothing special but it isn't bad either. So the music checks positive.
Control-1/10: Here is the problem people. Instead of using the control pad to move Kirby around, you tilt the GameBoy to roll Kirby around. This is a huge problem. The first two levels are not bad. Then it get's very hard and very frustrating. If the lighting in the room you are playing in is not perfect, the screen will glare and you can see. Therefore you roll of a cliff and die. You also have to do certain parts of the game where you must balance the GameBoy perfectly. If you sneeze or cough or make even the slightest movement, you roll of a cliff again. Big problem. So if you are not coordinated, I suggest you find other games to play. Most games in my opinion, that use strange accessories or odd ways of moving the character (like this game for example) are kind of a disappointment.
Replay Value-1/10: If you can manage to beat this game at all, I think that you will find that it was more than enough. So it is pretty much a one use game.
Overall-3/10: Well, if you REALLY like unique, and I mean REALLY unique and challenging games then give it a try I guess. I don't recommend it unless you absolutely MUST try it. If you get it, Good luck. You'll need it. Trust me.
