"This game can go to hell"

Little Nicky is based off the Adam Sandler movie with the same title. There is a rule in the video game world, ''ALL GAMES BASED OFF MOVIES SUCK!'' This holds true with Little Nicky. The game basically follows the retarded plot of the movie. Nicky's brothers have left hell to go terrorize Earth, causing his father (Satan) to fall apart. Nicky must go to Earth, and try to avoid getting killed long enough to find his brothers, and return them to hell.

Graphics 7/10: The graphics in this game are actually ok. The main characters all well drawn. They even included that one guy who had boobs on his head. Nicky's head is a little big, but I think that is there for a comical effect. The backgrounds are pretty crappy though. Most of them are just solid colored walls. I know the Gameboy is just an 8-bit system, but they could have put something back there. The enemies look the worse. Most of them look likes very tiny bugs.

Sound 5/10: The sound is is mediocre at best. Considering the movie actually had a descent soundtrack, I figured the game would to. Instead of some MIDI versions of some Ozzy, we get beep-doot-beep-beep. Just some typical Nintendo song. Not catchy or memorable in anyway. Sound effects? Your not gonna find too many of those here.

Gameplay 2/10: Little Nicky is really lacking here. This game is just a boring side scroller. You guide Nicky through a bunch of levels dodging lightning, bugs, and other obstacles. Occasionally you will have to stop at Church's chicken so that Nicky have enough energy to make a long jump. The control on this game isn't the best either. I would constantly be killed trying to do simple things because I couldn't get Nicky to do what i wanted him to do. This game gets old really fast. There is nothing here you haven't seen before.

Replay: 1/10: Little Nicky is so uninspired, that if you do finish it, it will probably be just so you feel like you got your moneys worth. Replay on this one is slim to none in my opinion.

Overall: 6/10: Little Nicky isn't a very good game. I wouldn't even suggest renting it. This game is so boring, I would put it away during school and actually read. There are lots of good games out there for the Gameboy Color, try one of them first.
