Game & Watch Gallery 2

"All your favorite Nintendo mini-games in one collection."

Game and Watch Gallery 2 is a collection of Nintendo mini-games that have been put together into a game that is both addictive and fun. There are 6 games (5 default, 1 unlockable) that you can play to your enjoyment. Each one has 5 modes:
-Easy Classic
-Hard Classic
-Easy Modern
-Hard Modern
-Very Hard Modern

Modern is a new, up-to-date version of the classics, where you play as Nintendo characters, like Mario, Yoshi, Peach, and many others. Classic is the game the way it was much earlier in the arcades.

You can unlock more features by earning points in all the games. Every 200 points earns you a star.

All the Modern games are loaded with color and look great. The animations are smooth too. No problem here, everything looks awesome for the Game Boy Color. However, I'm surprised there wasn't any work on the Classic games. Although, being old, I guess there was a reason for the way they look, but some visuals are pretty ugly. It's not that much of a problem though.

The light-hearted music is fun to listen to at first, but it gets old and pretty repetitive after playing a game for a long time. However, the sound effects make up for that, as they are crisp and clear. Also, the idea of making the music go faster and faster as you progress through the game was good. It gets you excited and more into what you're playing.

Extremely basic, but it's good in this case. Usually, all you have to do is press left or right to move across the screen. You can use the A button to jump sometimes, but usually A and B have the same effect as left and right. Simple, easy, great.

You can never win this game, so that adds a lot to the replay value of G+WG2. Just the goal of trying to beat your high score will keep you playing until you accomplish it. However, playing the same games over and over can get a little boring. I personally think there could have been more games to play, and then the score would have been higher. Still, the game will keep your interest for a while.

Overall, Game and Watch Gallery 2 is a great title that will keep you playing for a long time... at least until you get bored of the small amount of games that are included. I strongly suggest you pick it up at your local store... it would be cheap now, and it would be worth the money all the way.
