Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble
Review by Wolf4knowledge
"One of the most unique game I ever played."
Kirby's first and only game for the Gameboy Color turns out to be a great innovated game. This is the first game that uses the tilt-technology so you actually have to tilt the gameboy to play. Well enough of that lets get to the review.
Graphics - 9/10
Kirby Tilt'n Tumble has very amazing graphics for a Gameboy Color game. Everything is well colored and very clear so you will have no trouble seeing the game when you tilt it.
Sound - 9/10
The music in the great is what you mostly expect from a Kirby game. The music has a jumpy tune and the tracks are not that bad. The music do repeat in some stages but it's not that okay. If the music is annoying that would be a problem. The sound effects are pretty good but it really doesn't make a difference to me. Kirby actually says a few words in the game like ''Hiiiii'' ''yet-ta'' and ''ahhhhhhhhhh''
Those SE were pretty good.
Story - 7/10
Not much of a story. It's more like a pinball game. But there is a story and it goes like this ''Kirby is sleeping, Waddle Dee walks past him and accidently woke Kirby up, Kirby sees King Dedede carrying something so Kirby follows him, then he notice all the stars are missing and he will try to recover the stars back'' that's about it.
Gameplay - 10/10
The Gameplay is the best part about this game. In this Tilt Response game you must guide Kirby through 32 levels by tilting the GBC. You steer Kirby exclusively by tilting your GBC up, down, left, right and by quickly flicking the GBC up you can make Kirby jump. The control pad is use for moving the camera around so you can see more of your surroundings. The 32 levels in this game is filled with puzzles and traps and addition to that there is 5 minigames that tests out your tilting skill. If you would like to try something new and if you have a lot of patience this will be one of your favorites because it is one of my favorites.
Replay Value - 8/10
The replay value is alright in this game only if you try to get all the secrets. Once you get all the red stars you start the game all over but the difficulty of each level has gotten harder. But to me it was no problem once you get used to it. Once you haven't played it for a while you'll forget all about the game but once you play it once more you can't stop.
If your a big Kirby fan and want to try out the new tilt technology I suggest that you buy the game. But if your really impatience I suggest that your rent the game first and try it out.
