"Service Ace!!!"

Introduction: I have a sad story involving the purchase of this game. It was my birthday. I had been given a GBC game, ''Scooby Doo: Classic Creeper Capers'' Which I did not want. So, I traded it in for MT. Gosh, it was a good trade.

Gameplay:

Mario Tennis is so much fun to play, giving you endless options. There's Exhibition mode, where you practice your skill and get a feel of the game. There's Mini-games that use the Mario characters and are extremely fun. And there's 3 slots for a ''tour'' where you pick a player and try to make your way up into varsity, which is also extremely fun. Taste is added to it by giving it RPG elements. Heck, there's even a tennis dictionary!! Mario Tennis is one of the most addictive games ever.

The controls in Mario Tennis are......if not......perfect. With the shortage of buttons, Nintendo has given each button perfect controls. A-topspin, B-slice, and you can combine buttons for power shots.

The replay value in Mario Tennis is way up there. Once you beat tour, you're going to want to keep playing until you reach all the way to level 99!!! This takes months of replay value!!!

Gameplay Score: 9.7

Graphics

The graphics in Mario Tennis are great. Although not extremely good, Mario tennis gives you the overhead perspective, to make it feel like 3D. The characters are done in average quality, and the courts aren't much different than each other. But you must notice, however, that Nintendo has paid full attention to detail.

The animation In Mario tennis is.......great. That's all I can say.

Graphics Score: 8.4

Sound:

The sound in Mario Tennis is also amazing. Actually.....Sad to say, the only actual sounds you hear are the hits of the ball, which are also repetitive. So I lie. The FX isn't amazing.

But it's made up in the music. The music actually makes you feel like you're playing tennis. It's full of lively tunes, and the music changes to a serious song when you're about to win a set or match.

Sound Score: 8.6

Challenge:

Mario Tennis isn't very challenging. I've gone through the entire game without losing one match. The opponents aren't too much different than each other. The only hard part is.......well......there's nothing hard enough to make you slam the GBC against the wall.

Like I said before, Mario Tennis is a long game. The tour mode lasts at least 15 hours, and you will spend months afterward beating everything.

Challenge Score: 8.5

Buy or rent?? You have no choice. But if you did, definitely buy. This game is a whole lot of fun.

Last word: I was simply amazed with Mario Tennis, as were the other reviewers. I actually have nothing negative to say about the game. Congratulations, Nintendo. Mario Tennis is a sparkling gem.
