"The Little System That Could"

The Little System That Could
============================
For more than a decade now, that green and grey little sytem we call the GameBoy has been providing gamers on the go countless hours of entertainment. As far as sale records go, the GameBoy has been the most successful system ever released, beating out all the systems that came before and after it. It was only common sense that Nintendo decided that it should be given a complete makeover and given color capabilites. So, in 1998, Nintendo finally released the GameBoy Color.

The system itself is smaller when compared to the original GameBoy, but is slightly larger to the GameBoy Pocket due to a small bump protruding from the battery compartment area. The design is more curvy and the button size has been reduced.

New additions to the GameBoy Color are an infrared port located at the top of the system and a new LCD screen which eliminates the "smearing" problem that plagued the original system. The system also sports several colors, from clear to kiwi. And who could forget its new color capabilites? With a pallet of thousands of colors, you can now enjoy all your favorite games in color! Also, the GameBoy Color only requires two AA batteries compared to the four the the original required.

The GameBoy Color is comfortable when held in the hands, but people with bigger hands may find it a tad uncomfortable. Some 3rd party accessories are available to alleviate this problem, however.

If you're looking for games, then this is the system for you! The GameBoy Color is backwards-compatible with every original GameBoy game ever made. Plus with hundreds of GameBoy Color only games coming out in the near future, finding games for the system won't be a problem.

Nintendo has given its best system a deserved makeover. If you're a gamer-on-the-go, please don't pass up on this marvelous little system!
