Survival Kids
Review by BM03
"Ultimately Original."
So then, Survival Kids. I will say now that it's not a very enticing game plan. You know, Survive. the idea of video games is to escape the real world. And in the real world, you survive.
Evidently, surviving on a desert island is a little out-of-the-ordinary, if not unlikely. However, enough about this, I'll go back to the headings Gamefaqs give me.
Gameplay
As you'd expect from a Konami Game, you'll be able to pick up the controls easily, and become fluent in its second language. Or something. You'll never have any trouble knowing what that squiggle is over there, and so forth. But if anyone as ANY IDEA what that strange arrow is, tell me.

Story
Having been taken on a boat trip by your father, the only other person on the boat bar you. (Uh-oh) for your 10th birthday, you are given a knife as a present. Unfortunately, during the night, there is a storm, and you find yourself shipwrecked. (Didn't see that coming) You are awoken on a beach by a monkey.
Now, based on my sheer gaming ineptitude, this is where my 10 minutes is up. However, seeing as you're probably m-i-l-e-s better than me at this, I'll continue.
You find a hut, and sleep there for the night. The following morning, you begin your quest for survival.
If that's not quality game story writing, I don't know what is. Cliché'd, yes. But still well written.

Replayability
This game has plenty of replayability. While being an Action/RPG, there won't be a lot of replayability, as with Pokémon, Zelda, FF Legends,, and so forth. As with Pokémon you've got your levels and more pokémon to catch, in Zelda you've got your seashells, and in FF Legends You've got erm, I never played it, but still, in SK You've got minigames and various endings. I've uncovered two games so far, ('GetBerry!' and 'Push&Fish!') and one of the eight endings. But it's not worth replaying all the way through for them. Make two copies of the savegame.

To buy or to rent?
Now this is a problem. As far as I know, no UK outlets rent GB/C Games, so it's a buyer. But if you find it too easy (Those who completed Zelda 64 in under 14 Hours =) ), then find a shop with a money back guarantee. And a loyalty card system.
Overall
A top game for adults and -ahem- kids alike.
