Review by RyanThunder

"A fun, fast, bumpy ride. You'll have a brick of a time!"

This game was extremely unrecognized by the public. But, for the select few who knew it existed, they were in for a real treat. This stood pretty faithful to that of the Nintendo 64 version. Everything from the music, font, and race courses.

Gameplay: 8/10
______________
This game was one of those games that published an early instruction booklet and game box. Expect to find many beta screenshots and some false instructions. Plus, the ending really, really stinked. If I told you what it was, then you wouldn't play this game! Those were the only reasons why it lost points in this category. But anyway, you actually make your own driver, driver's liscense, and cars in this game, just like the Nintendo 64 version!!! Oh sure, the options are kinda small when making stuff, but hey, its great that they could fit such cool stuff in such a little package. I was kind of surprised that there wasn't a Time Trial mode in this game. So, they use that little time meter down there for nothin! A Time Trial was probably there in an earlier beta version. The races are really really fun. If you ever played Lotus Turbo Challenge, a game for the TI calculators, its just like that, only a more bumpier and beautiful ride. If you haven't, well, the races are wild and fun anyway!

Music: 8/10
___________
The music is quite enjoyable to drive with, but the only problem is, they didn't make enough of it. So, they play one tune for the entire grand prix. There are only 7 grand prix's with 3 tracks in each and the last 3 are mirror tracks of the first 3, having the same 3 tunes. So uh..........yea :-

Sound: 9/10
___________
The sounds are pretty good in this game. Some were a bit corny, but other than that, they were awesome.

Replay Value: 9/10

Some people will be absolutley done with this game after seeing the really bad ending. But the others, who found this game more fun than a barrel of monkeys, will have countless hours of fun as they did on the Nintendo 64 version. This game is definitley a must for any road trip!

Key differences between this version and the Nintendo 64 version:

-fewer Lego building piece selections
-a few courses missing; Alien Rally Asteroid = Rocket Racer Run :-
-fewer music tunes
-littler cars
-no Time Trail
-the leader car is the same ''robot'' for every grand prix

Of course, these are to be expected in a littler package.

Rent or Buy?
____________
Buy. You'll love this game, trust me. But just to tell you how good it is, THIS GAME IS BETTER THAN LEGO RACERS 2 FOR THE GAMEBOY ADVANCE!!!

Aight, I'm done. Peace out y'all.
