"The Incredible game DBZ fans have waited so long for"

Wow. At first when I first heard about Super Legendary Warriors, I wasn't too excited. After all, the GBA Legacy of Goku was a major disappointment. If GBA couldn't do it, how could the little GBC? Well, when I got this game, my opinion instantly changed. This is one of THE best DBZ game in its long history.

Story: 10
Wow. I never expected a DBZ game to actually follow the story other than a 1 page explanation for a saga, but just reading the story for the first time could take an hour. It captures the DBZ storyline very, very well.(maybe except the ending, but who cares?)

Sound: 8
The sound is very good too, whether you are a DBZ fan or not. The only drawback is that it is kind of repetitive. Battles all have same music; boss music is the only exception.

Graphics: 10
The graphics are very sharp and the animation is excellent. The characters move in full motion, and the details are astounding for a GBC game.

Replay: 10
You will definitely play this game ALOT more than once. It takes many tries to unlock all the characters assuming you are doing that without help, and after that there are still lots of cards to collect, with three levels of rarity. Plus, after you beat the game, you unlock Battle Mode, a new, fast, fun, and difficult mode of consecutive battles with you trying to win more than ten consecutive battles so you can get better prize options. Once you lose, you start the mode over. And saving doesn't really help here other than letting you keep the spoils of battles.
Oh, and this game has a good 2 player mode too. Trading and battling across the GBC link cable have never been this fun.

Game play: 10
This is the meat of the game. It perfectly combines RPG, Trading Card, and even a little Fighting together to form wonderful results. You gather energy, or CC, to use for various cards by using command attacks, where you have a limited amount of time to enter in randomly generated command sequences made up of A, B, up, forward, and down buttons. The difficulty level is right on target, as well. And unlike most card games, fighting early enemies after beating the game does not get incredibly easy.

Ingenuity: 10
This game is definitely original. No game has ever had a system like this, so Super Legendary Warrior was braving uncharted water. And the results were incredible.

Overall: 10
This game is definitely a buy if you have the slightest interest in DBZ or collectable card games. Even if you don't, you should still try it out because chances are you'll get hooked. The battle system may seem confusing at first, but after a few rounds you'll feel right at home. A true gem.
