Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors
Review by Mykas0
"Dragon Ball for everyone?"
Introduction
Although the ending of the series was already published some time ago in Japan, there are still being creating lots of games related to that series, and this is one of them.
Gameplay
Unfortunatly, this game is based on cards, like many others before him. You start by getting a certain deck of 20 cards depending on your selections and after each ''battle'' you will be able to choose from 3 different cards, which may be related (or not) to the character you just defeated. Also, if you defeat all the characters in a particular way you will get some bonus features, like extra stories or many more characters. As for the battles, they will take place in a 2D terrain where you can move and strike by picking some cards or using those that you equip on your character (yeah, you can equip in them up to 3 cards), which can only be used in the next 2 turns after performing a specific command. Sometimes you will even be able to play in battles from 2 against 2 opponent players, but they won't occur very often. As in every rpg you will have some actions which will occur in a terrain, and using a certain character (the one you are controlling at the time) you will have to perform certain tasks, which may grant you (or not) extra cards.
Story
The story in this game is quite nice, mainly since you will be able to play all across the story for every saga in Dragon Ball Z and even some extra scenes, which you may get to find after playing for a while.
Graphics/Sound
Although some of the graphics on this game are really nice (mainly when you see the characters throwing their) you can see that they look poor on the field, like those of old nes games or somehow worse. As for the sound, it becomes boring after some time, but you may turn it off at your own pleasure...
Play Time/Replayability
This game will take you surely some time to finish, but once you do so there are still many secrets to uncover and many cards to get, which will rise the replay value of this game.
Final Recommendation
This game is good for Dragon Ball Z fans but also for people who wanna try a new style of rpg games, but this isn't very good for great players since they will finish it easily...
