Dragon Warrior Monsters

Review by Mr Socko

"This Pokemon-esque game is pretty good, too bad nobody will notice it due to Pokemon"

I am not that much of an Enix fan (I'm a Square and Nintendo person), but this game is pretty good. I wonder if holds against ANY Pokemon games. Lets find out, shall we:

Story - 9 - Reminds me of the Monster Rancher TV show, a kid gets sucked into a dimension swarmed with monsters.

Visuals - 8 - A little crude, but ok. Magic animations are kind of good.

Sound - 7 - sucky music, SE's aren't that bad. (note: I have the ROM, so the sound might be different than the actual game, but I have SMYGB, the best at Game Boy color games.)

Battle System - 10 - You don't get to select who to attack, but the strongest one is probably the last one defeated, and the last one defeated sometimes joins your party.

Replay Value - 8 - If you've played Pokemon red/blue/gold/silver, you have a choice of 1 of 3 monsters to start out with. In this game, it's only one.

Overall - 42 (84%) B - Enix tries thier hands on a monster raising game. Doesn't come out on top, but still good. A rental might work, I might suggest a purchase.
