"Capcom and Nintendo? A dream come true."

A Zelda game develop by someone who isn't Nintendo, then I must be dreaming, but it's all true. Capcom is one of the best developers ever and now they have made another wonderful game, this time with the Legend of Zelda series. I didn't think Nintendo was ever going to trust another developer with the Zelda series since that disaster with the CD-I Zeldas, but Nintendo trusted Capcom and now we get a beauty like this. The Legend of Zelda: Oracles of Ages is being release alongside The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons which unlike some other games, they are completely different. This Zelda game is one of the best ever want to know if this game is worth your money(which in my opinion is), then read the review.

Graphics 9/10

What can I said about the graphics, they are wonderful for a handheld game. Link stills look very good on miniature form while the other characters are colorful as well. The character are well designed and they are more realistic, for a Game Boy Color game that is. The enemies aren't forgotten either. Some of them are well animated and some are dark in color which fit their personality really well. The environments that you are in looks as cool as ever but it hasn't changed very much a from the Link's Awakening DX overworld. The future visuals are different from the past one but only in color. The dungeons are creepy and some of them are darker. The weapons are well designed and everything else that has to do with this game. My only complain about the graphics is like I wrote before, they haven't change much since the last Game Boy Color game but who cares.

Sound 10/10

The music in this game is the best in the Game Boy Color in my opinion since is just fun and relaxing to hear. Some of the music is remixed from last Zelda games but thanks to that, they sound better than ever. The music from the Title screen is completely different from the dungeons one which means you get a lot of variety. The sound is perfect too starting from Link slashing someone with his to when you shoot a seed with the Seed Shooter. The dungeons music fits very nice with the environment which means that you will get that creepy feeling. There is nothing more to said about the sound except that is perfect.

Gameplay 10/10

Your main character in this game is Link which you have to guide him to collect the Eight Essences of Time in order to defeat Veran. The game is about Link being in a different land than Hyrule. The land named is Labrynna but as you can expect is having some havoc which you have to fix. The story is very good, Veran has capture Nayru, the Oracles of Ages to be able to go back in time to take over the world. Like I said before you have to travel in time in order to collect the eight essence of time. You control time thanks to a little instrument called the Harp of Time which creates a portal which you have to enter in order to travel through time. Like any Legend of Zelda before, you have to travel through eight different dungeons in which you collect some weapons which helps later you on your quest. The games brings back some old weapons like the Cape of Roc and the bombs, but it also bring some new ones like the Seeds and the Seed Shooter. You also get to collect the magical rings which if you equip one to Link you become more powerful or give you a different ability. The one thing that makes this game totally different from the Oracles of Seasons is that the puzzles are more harder which means you are going to spend some serious time with this game. Another feature is that you get to control three animal friends which they help you on your quest. The best feature in this game has to be the new password setting which you get after you beat the game. If you put the password you are given in this game to the Oracles of Seasons you can continue your quest in that game. You also get a different ending which can be only accessed this way.

Replay 10/10

This game is full of side quest which will keep you interested for a long time. You may also want to collect all the rings so that is going to take some serious playing time. You may also continue the game on Oracles of Seasons. One thing is for sure, this game is going to keeps you near your Game Boy Color for sure.

Overall Score 10/10

Capcom has made this game the best on the Game Boy Color. You may want to get this game along with Seansons but be warned, you are gonna play for a long, long time.
