Legend of the River King 2

"Addicting but gets boring easily."

For all of you who hates fishing...this game is like harvest moon, but you dont plant stuff and take care of animals. You fish, catch bugs, and pick flowers.

GRAPHICS 8/10
The graphics for this game is normal (5/10), nothing special to it, but the fishes looks really realistic and it looks alot like GBA graphics.(+2) The developers really did some hard work creating lots of items and fishes.(+1)

SOUND 4/10
The sound in this game is a little annoying from all those beeping (4/10). There are good sound effects in this game, but not that good. You could hear the clipping of scissors but it isn't realistic.

STORY 7/10
The story in this game is normal, not bad, not fancy, just normal. (5/10) It is about a girl named Yuki, she needs to find 2 jewels from the Mountain and Sea gods, which are creating earthquakes to the villigers. The mountain god transformed into the River King, the sea god turned into the Sea King and you need to catch them. When you travel to different levels in this world, you will find new quests you must do to gain access to other levels (+1). You can play as 2 characters, a boy and a teen. They have the same storyline but they start in different levels and HP.(+1)

GAMEPLAY 9/10
There are ALOT of things to do in this game (7/10). You can pick flowers and sell them. They grow everyday. There is a time system meaning that you have day/nights. Each day is 24 hours and each step you take is 5 minutes (+1). The fishing in this game is confusing at first, but it gets easier once you are used to it. You can catch bugs with nets, it's like shooting with a pistol, but you are carrying a net and you try to catch them by aiming the net around them (+1). You can also collect shellfish. You dive underwater and try to avoid jellyfishes and eels, when you reach the bottom you'll get a shell (+1). There is also something weird about this game...battle system -_-. I mean...it's ok, but it dosen't match a game like this. There is a fist which points around, when it's on the animal, you press A to hit it. The only stats you have is HP, if it goes down, so does your attack power. Your HP can go down by: Attacked by enemy, Sailing on the canoe, Diving for seashells. You can restore your HP by sleeping. Oh, and after you did all the stuff availible, it may get boring (-1).

REPLAYABILITY 9/10
The replayability is kind of low. You can restart and try to collect all the fish,flowers,bugs,shellfishes,etc (6/10). The thing that boosts the replayability is that you can select the 2nd character you didn't play (+3).

BUY/RENT
Rent this first, you can beat this like in 3 days. If you REALLY REALLY REALLY like it, buy it, but I doubt you will.
