Magical Tetris Challenge

~ Introduction ~

if you hear the word tetris you think about the classic tetris game, well this game is no different but it had a Disney influence. No this is not a classic game it's pretty cool.

~ Game Play ~ 8.5/10

There are several modes like Standard mode, Updown mode, Magical Mode and Harmony mode, ... Each has it own purpose and way to beat the levels. When you're bored of playing those single player games (which you can play with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Boris) you can always play with a friend in the multi player mode. I can hear you think how on earth can a tetris game be multi player? It's easy, each player has it's own board and tries to get as many points as you can, when you're in trouble hit the switch button and your friend can solve your problem! If you don't have a link cable or a friend who has the game too you can go on a quest with all people I just mentioned, every time you finish the quest mode a new thing will be unlocked, you have to play the quest mode with all characters to beat the game 100%. See there is a story behind this. In the quest mode you must get 6 coins by beating the other characters and have a little luck you find some on your way. Beware, if you're not fast enough another player will win the trophy of mayor of the city. You can easily beat the quest if you have practiced all tetris modes and with a little luck of course.

~ Story ~ 7/10

You would think a tetris game doesn't have a story but you're wrong! It has the quest mode, if you win the trophy you will be mayor of the city for one day I think (could be a week too).

~ Graphics & Music / Sound ~ 7/10

The graphics are pretty good for a Game Boy Color game. In the quest mode you'll be walking in some kind of city and all kinds of characters will be in it. The music gets somewhat annoying after playing it for hours but you can always turn it off.

~ Play Time & Replay Value ~ 8.5/10

I never get tired of playing a tetris game, do you? Anyway with the quest mode and multi player option you can play this game for weeks and months. Don't forget you have 3 difficulties and you have to beat the quest mode several times to beat the game for 100%.

~ Overall ~ 8/10

It's a pretty good tetris game, better than the old and classic one. The first tetris with a story and other tetris modes in it!

Rent or Buy? If you like the Disney characters and like a very cool tetris game go ahead and buy this one!
