"An OK version of an OK game."

If you've played Azure Dreams for the Playstation then you've pretty much played the Gameboy Color version. The only thing you'll notice different is the graphics, controls and the way the town is set up.I saw this one day in a store for a low price and because I get discounts at this store I decided to buy Azure Dreams for the Gameboy Color.I'm kind of new to Gameboy color and I don't have much games and this may be why I'm giving it a 6.

GAMEPLAY:(7/10)Yeah I know that the gameplay is the same in the tower as the PSX game, but the town isn't.The town of Monsbaiya is much more confusing then the PSX version.I can't even really find my around the town. This makes the game hard because the only two places you go are the town and the tower. For those who don't know about Azure Dreams it is an RPG similar to Pokemon where you catch monsters and they fight for you.In the tower there is 40 floors and each are prett hard. The fighting is real time and the way you fight is similar to Lufia 2 on the SNES.The monsters in the GBC version has different names so if you've played the PSX version expect a lot of things to be different. The game overall is very fun and you help build your town to make it a poor dump to a rich town of prosperity. In the tower you find things to develop the story and fight and catch monsters.Really fun if you like Pokemon.

CONTROLS:(4/10)I understand that this is the Gameboy and it only has 4 buttons, but it is very hard to play Azure Dreams with 4 buttons with only 3 being used. The PSX version used almost all of its buttons and the game is still hard. The controls don't put much ease to your gameplay. This might take you quite some time to get used to.

GRAPHICS:(7/10)Everything is small, even for a gameboy. In the tower things look a bit better and you can see items and monsters clearly. While fighting you can't even tell if you're hitting an enemy or not unless you change the way your character faces the screen. The backgrounds of both the tower and Monsbaiya are very colorful.

MUSIC/SOUND:(6/10)Most of the time I only heard noise, but some of that noise sounded good.I didn't hear much sound effects, but some of the ones that can be heard were clear.
The music is the same as the PSX version just with more noise in it.

REPLAY:(6/10)If you want to get every monster or keep playing the mini-games that is available when you get stuff in the tower then it is fun to play again. If not then your chances of playing again is slim.

OVERALL:(6/10)I know I compared the GBC version with the PSX version a lot,but the reason is because I played the PSX version then this so it was quite a dissapointment. For people who are very familiar with Gameboy Color then Azure Dreams will probably be very fun for you,but it was very difficult for me.
