"Possibly one of the greatest GBC games I've ever had the pleasure to play."

This is one of the greatest games I've ever played, even if it is for Game Boy Color. This blows Pokemon right out of the water. I dislike Pokemon a lot, and I LOVE this game. It's such a great RPG, and the fact that it's for Game Boy Color is even more mind-blowing.

Gameplay: 10

Everything from the starting of the game, to the ending of the game, I completely enjoyed. It's very similar to Pokemon, in the sense that you obtain monsters as friends, but it's so much more complicated. You actually need to try and get the monsters a little friendly to you. You'll figure out how once the game starts. Then, once you beat them, they'll either decide to join you, or not to. And the monster's only start their. You can obtain and get TONS more using breeding. That's right, breeding. You can actually have your monsters to breed to get a lot more different, and unique types of monsters. You go around on different maps, training your monsters. The skills system is also very nicely designed, and good. And you can re-breed, over and over, to get the ultimate monsters, and I mean, really, really strong ones. The story is great, too, but I'll get to that in a little bit.

Graphics: 9

The graphics, for a Game Boy Color game, are really good. There are little sprites, and designs for each monsters. All of the monsters are very colorful, and designed very well. But, the backgrounds, and some other different things, are, well, to be frank, quite flavorless. Or, they start to seem this way after a while of playing the game. But, nonetheless, they're still great graphics.

Story: 9

The story is pretty good. Monsters have kidnapped your sister? Are you a bad enough dude to save your sister?

Okay, enough with the references. Seriously, monsters have kidnapped your sister. And you go off to find her. A feisty little monster comes up, and takes you to his home. Soon, you learn that... Well, I'll let you find that out. All in all, it's a good story, with a great ending.

Sound: 9 The sound is pretty good, since it's a GBC game. It's got it's little music and stuff, and I like it. Although I don't usually keep the music on, when I do, it's fine to listen to. Battle music is good, environment music is good, overall, the music is good.

Re-Play Value: 10

Even for a Game Boy game, it's got some of the best replay value around. The game gets so intricate, and better, when you delve deeper through the depth's of the game. There's so much to do. Even after you've fully beaten the game. You can go on, and raise the strongest monsters you can. Or, you can do days and days of breeding, to raise the ultimate monsters. Different boss type monsters that weren't available to obtain through friendship are now be available through breeding. Although, it'll take a ton of time, it's so worth it.

Overall: 10

This is one of the best Game Boy Color games I've ever played. It's so much fun. Tons of replayability, fine music, great gameplay, good story, this game has it all. It's so different than Pokemon, and SO much better. Get this game, you'll definitely not regret it. One of the greatest RPG games for the Game Boy Color, I guarantee it.
