I. Legal Stuff

Biomotor Unitron and all related characters and mecha are

II. What is Biomotor Unitron?

Biomotor Unitron is a game on the Neo Geo Pocket in which the
player builds and modifies a robot and battle it in the arena to win
the coveted title of Master of Masters. The true depth of the game
lies in the development of the Arms. Arms development starts simply
and grows in complexity as more materials and advanced Arms become
available. Along the way the player explores dungeons, learns new
skills, and finds hidden treasures.

IV. Affinities and how to use them.

There are eight affinities. They are Fire, Wind, Wood, Water,
Earth, Light, Dark, and Mirror. All of the affinities have strengths
and weakness. The Mirror affinity copies whatever affinity your enemy
has. The chart below shows the strengths and weaknesses of the
affinities.

	Affinity Strength Weakness

	Fire Wood Water
	Wind Water Earth
	Wood Earth Fire
	Water Fire Wind
	Earth Wind Wood
	Light None None
	Dark All Light

Any damage your machine takes or deals are modified by the
affinities of your machine and your Arm Weapons respectively. For
example, Your machine has a Wind affinity and your weapons have Fire
and Earth affinities respectively. You will take less damage from an
opponent with a Water affinity but, take more damage from an opponent
with and Earth affinity. You will deal more damage to opponents with
Wood and Wind affinities depending on what weapon you are using. You
can use this to your advantage when you are exploring the dungeons
below Tardiss. Also there are accessories that can change the affinity
of your machine. Only equip one of these items at a time otherwise you
will lose the effects of both of them. Do not bother to purchase the
item that has the default affinity of your race. Your machine
automatically has that affinity unless you use an accessory.

V. Useable Items

All of these items can be purchased in the shop eventually. Only
the FixIt items can be used outside of combat.

make for different weapons. Some weapons have multiple development
paths so be sure to experiment with different materials. Materials can
be purchased in the shop or from the boy in the forest (Colla). Colla
prices vary so I didn't list them.

IX. Cores (under construction)

Cores are the power source for your machine. They give your
machine the EP needed for using weapons. If you find yourself running
out of EP in a fight it may be time for a more powerful Core. All but
six of the Cores are available in the shop. You'll have to find the
rest.

XIII. Special Skills (under construction)

At certain points in the game if you go talk to Helmut he will
offer you the opportunity to learn one of two special skills. He does
this twice. You get two of the four skills he offers. These skills
are either powerful attacks or great defenses. The skills have very
high EP cost so be prepared. I believe that he offers different skills
to different races based on affinity.

XIV.	The Arena

The Arena is where you go to battle to gain ranks. In addition
to the title you get a prize and prize money. The Appears to be random
I have gotten two different prizes for the same level before.

Arena Ranks Cost to enter Prize money
Rookie 500 1000
Viscount 1250 2500
Marquis 2500 5000
Duke 5000 10000
Lord 12500 25000
High Master 25000 50000
Master of Masters	50000 100000

XV.	The Dungeons

There are five dungeons in the game. They are all located on the
world map except for the last one, which is below the arena. You
can only access the last one after you have obtained the title of
Master of Masters. All of the dungeons except the final one have
random layouts. There are about 10 or so floor plans for each of
the first four dungeons but, you will only explore seven of them
on any one expedition. Also the treasure chests reset themselves
in all but the final dungeon. At the bottom of each of the world
map dungeons and near the staircase down on each floor of the
final dungeon are large enemies you can see on the map. Each of
them has over 1000 HP and EP so you must use caution when
fighting them. Use high-powered weapons and special skills of
the appropriate affinities if you wish to succeed. If you can
defeat the boss you will get an elemental badge. Try to collect
the whole set.

Dungeon Affinity
Forest of Verdure Wood
Corridor of Blue Water
Ruins of Wind Wind
Maze of Stone Earth
Final Dungeon All

XVI.	Cast of Thousands...Ok maybe ten or so

You will run into several characters in your travels. Some are
helpful, some are funny, and some have secrets for you to
discover. All you have to do is be sociable and talk to them.

Jon-	Chief Engineer of the Arena. He looks to be a cyborg. He
runs the arena and offers advice and encouragement.

Lana-	The Shopowner. She sells you items and part in the shop.
She gives some items at the beginning of the game to get you
started. She a cute looking elf with purple hair.

Galb-	The Shopowner. He is Lana's husband and sometimes is
running the shop while Lana is out. He is an elf with tiger
stripes on his face.

Camil-The serving girl at the pub. She nice but won't serve you
a drink because you're under age. But every time you go up a
rank she makes you a cake that raises your stats. Yum! She is a
human with blonde hair.

Wyse-	The Drunkard. He always hangs around the pub whining about
his gambling losses and getting drunk. He always says he'll bet
on you next.

Ziggy-The Master Engineer. Ziggy hangs out in the pub and likes
to talk about developing arms. He offers you a couple of hints
and encourages you.

Ceus-The Fortuneteller. She wanders around town giving bogus
fortunes. She's kinda funny but offers nothing of value but
encouragement. She is a purple-skinned mariner.

Meese-The Kid. He hangs out downtown and asks you to tell him
stories about your adventures. He is an Elf.

Lily-The Flower girl. She hangs out downtown for a while then
mysteriously vanishes. What becomes of her, only time will tell.
Lily is a human girl.

Tetis-The Autograph Hound. Tetis is your biggest fan. Whenever
you gain an Arena Rank he wants your autograph. He is a Forester
with green hair.

Cyrius-The Bard. He sings on the streets of downtown and can
tell fortunes a lot better than Ceus. He has traveled all over
Tardiss and knows many secrets. Perhaps he'll share one with
you.

Colla-The Exploring Kid. Colla hangs out in the forest in the
city. He sometimes has rare and exotic materials to sell. If
you can afford his price you get great materials. Colla looks
like an elf.

Alda-The Grouchy Explorer. Alda is always in a bad mood. She
hates machines and those who use them. An all around Bitch. She
is a Mariner.

Helmut-The Former Champ. Helmut is a Birdian that lost his wings
during a fight. He is old and knows many secret techniques. He
just might share them with you if you show progress in your own
training.

XVII.	Development (under construction)

You can build most of the 133 arms through development. All you
need are an arm, some material, and a tool. Mix them together
and if you have a good engineer you'll get a new more powerful
arm. You can then use that arm in more development until you
have reached the maximum capability of that arm. If you want to
build advanced arms you have to practice on lower arms. Your
engineer has an experience level as well. They'll only level up
after making new arms.

XVIII.	Credits and Thanks

In no particular order these are the people whom without them all
or parts of this FAQ would have never came to be.

SNK- For putting the neatest little portable system I've seen.

Yumekobo-	for making the game.

CjayC-	for putting Gamefaqs.com on the net. The idea would
have never crossed my mind otherwise.
