"Miss king of fighters"

Snk Gal Fighters was released in the year 2000. As the name implies, only the women of SNK are in this game, from Athena and Mai to Leona and Nakaruru. Anyways, the game's story line takes place after the King of Fighter tournament of 99. After all the people go home, living peaceful lives because Krazalid's plans failed to make clone Kyos (thanks to Kyo's team according to the official story line). Soon after, a letter arrived to eight women of SNK. The letter was titles QOF. The prize was a wish to make anything happen and so each eight women, taking their hopefulness entered the tournament hoping to get what they wanted.

Game Play 7/10: The game is your standard versus game. Each character has a set of moves and have their generic jump, kick, and punch. However since it is on the pocket and the little joystick that they give you makes it hard to do any thing in game (unless if you practiced a lot.) And again the computer can cheese you to death as in all versus games (especially the last boss duh).

Graphics 7/10: The Neo Geo pocket's graphics was never really good since it had no back light. However it was 16 bit and then some hand helds at the time like the Wonder Swan or the GB color.

Controls 9/10: The controls to the game are very simple. The joy stick is for moving, the options button is to pause the game, the A button is for punching/ selecting stuff and the B button is for kicking.

Extras: The game has some unlockable features to it. For instance there are three unlockable women known as Whip, Yuki and Miss X. However other then that there is not much in th unlockable pile.

So is this game worth it? Only if you love SNK (or SNK Playmore) to the max. This is just a generic fighting game with SNK's women fighters. You really are not missing much. However if you do have a Neo Geo pocket, then pick it up if you want. It is only about twelve dollars online.
