"Snk and Capcom, Can it be any better?"

I must first start off by thanking Capcom and Snk for this amazing game that they created.

Match of the Millenium(MotM) is my first experience with fighting games on the Neo Geo Pocket Color(NGPC), I and have only positive things to say about this game.

If you have ever played Capcom Vs Snk before on the Dreamcast you will notice so many things that they added to this game that you will be amazed that they could add everything(except coloring you characters outfits) from a DC game to a little handheld.

1.It has so many characters to choose from, that no matter what your playing style is you will find a character to fit it.
2.It is incredible deep, from all the different modes and secrets available, to the great number of moves availanle to most characters.
3.The moves stay true to the Capcom vs Snk franchise, I mean this game has all the moves from those games and I also noticed that some characters have additional moves added to them in this game. I could go on all day about the similarities of the 2 games....on to the scores.

Graphics-10

Like I stated before, this is the first fighting game I have played for the NGPC and I was simple amazed at how smooth the animation is, and the special effects just add to the allready eye catching graphics. The backgrounds will make you smile as you see some of the old returning backgrounds from some of past SNK and Capcom games. You will notice that characters dont ''blend'' into the backgrounds like they do in some other handheld games, making it hard to see your character and your opponent. I am still amazed that this handheld could produce something as gorgeous as this game. When you first see Dan crying it will bring a tear to your eye... *tear*, like that one.

Sound-9

I really love the tunes in this GAME!!! LOL I was almost laughing when I heard some of those great old school tunes(Ken's stage), the music sounds just like the old stuff(obviously not not the same due to the power of other consoles), and if you liked the old music you will love this one too. I just wish that you could hear some voices in this game but due to hardware limitations you cant hear those great comments made by these classic characters.

Replay-10(If I could go any higher I would)

This game will last you years!!! I am not joking, you can unlock so many secrets in this game that it is almost funny in a way. You can unlock character, moves, movies, there are also options to make your own character, and I couldnt forget the Olympic mode where you can play classic modes such as survival, time attack, and 5 other mini-games as well. You can play this game forever(thats what I plan on doing).

Gameplay-10

Have you ever played a Capcom or SNK fighting game before?, chances are you have and if you havent I dont know what you bought a NGPC for, because you get the best of both worlds in terms of gameplay here. All the original moves are still there, plus they added 3 new fighting modes to this game. Rush, Counter, and Average make this game more in depth as you can choose which mode makes your characters play the way you want em too. Want mad combos? go for the Rush as it fills your power meter when you go on the offense and add chain combos together. Counter lets you charge your meter manually, and when your life gets low lets you use your super specials(Impact Blast). Average lets you stock your meters up so you can use back to back specials up. There is a huge cast of characters here and with so many modes, moves, and options no wonder it gets a 10 in my book.

Summary

This is a must own game for the NGPC and because of this game I will be spending my money grabing the rest of the fighting lineup. If you ever played a 2D fighting game and you liked them(even just a fraction) please do yourself a favor and pick up this game, heck if dont even own a NGPC go grab one right now!!! Chances are you will never find such a remarkable fighter on any handheld for a long time.

Thanks you Capcom and SNK
