SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter's Clash - SNK Version
Review by Crazy Bone X
"All your favorite game characters on little sheets of cardboard!"
STORY: SNK VS CAPCOM: Card Fighters' Clash is a game that should be put in the other category. It is an awesome game to say the least. The story goes like this:
The world has been struck with "SC Card Fighter's Clash" fever after Company S and C jointly released this popular game. In every nation and continent, players obsessed with collecting cards gather day and night to compete. In the midst of this mania, the companies have opened an official tournament, "SC Card Fighters' Clash." From experienced players to novices, all have joined and are playing to win. Well then, are you ready for the challenge?
GAMEPLAY: This game has two versions that are much like Pokemon red and blue. You start with one of two characters, Cap or Comet in the CAPCOM version; Shin or Kei in the SNK version. You go around to different places in Japan battling people to collect more cards. One fun part in this game is the locations. You get to go into a Resident Evil mansion where you see a zombie, a casino where you play slot machines, and lots of game arcades that have real game names. Another fun part is the cards. You can cards from certain games like: Resident Evil, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Dark Stalkers, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, and many more!
CONTROL: This game doesn't really have anything to control. You walk around, talk to people, answer questions, and battle. It's quite simple.
AUDIO/VIDEO: As far as graphics go, this game is above average but below perfect. It never skips or is choppy, but the graphics can sometimes be fuzzy. It's really nothing to complain about. I mean it's a portable! This game also has some very good sound. You can hear a lot of different character music; Athena and Chun-Li are just some of them.
REPLAY VALUE: Replay value is always pleasant in a game, and it is not absent in the title. You can never really beat this game. There are always things to do. I've been playing it for thirty hours and have only completed 75% of it! Once you beat one version you can always beat the other one.
BUY/RENT: Since there's nowhere that I know of that rent NGPC games, I can't answer the rent thing. I can tell you that I dished out somewhere around 65 dollars (for both versions) and I am completely satisfied.
BOTTOM LINE: This game is worth the purchase. I love it and play it every day. You should buy this game if you like anything that plays similar to Pokemon. I give this game a 9/10.
