The Neo*Geo pocket Color is the best portable out there, and
it has some really good games. Samurai Shodown 2 is one of them. With an excellent game engine and great graphics, this game is guaranteed to give you hours and hours of fun.

Graphics: 10/10

The graphics in this game are awesome, the characters look as good as they did in Samurai Shodown 3 or 4, but in chibi-
anime style. The characters are beautifully drawn and so are
the stages, so you can expect a lot of eye-candy. Also, you
will earn Special Abilities Cards with awesome anime art, that not only enhance the gameplay, but can also be kept as a nice collection. It is nice that there are 3 new characters, which are great to play as. Simply put, the graphics are excellent. And the fighters look so cute!


Sound: 10/10

The sound and music in this game are perfect. The music is
excellent, made in ancient Japan music style. Some tunes
come from SS3 and SS4, so you can expect excellent music.
About the sound effects, they are nice, not annoying and
very well done. The sounds and music in this game are excellent and they complete the package nicely.

Gameplay: 10/10

The gameplay is excellent. Very solid action. There is a lot of technique to learn and to master. And there are
16 characters to choose from. But since every character
has two styles of play, that is like having 32 characters
to play, since they are completely different depending the
style. The computer's intelligence is good and you will have some trouble to get to the end. Also, a nice survival
mode has been added which improves a lot the gaming experience, and it is really hard. And the Special Cards you earn after meeting certain conditions in the game, give a lot of new depth to the game and enhance your characters a lot. This game will keep you entertained for months!


Overal, I think this game scores a 10 out of 10. If you are
looking for an excellent fighting game for the Neo*Geo Pocket, Samurai Shodown! 2 is a great choice and you won't
be disappointed. Prepare to engage in fierce samurai battles
and have a blast with this incredible game!
