Sonic The Hedgehog: Pocket Adventure
Review by dragonz
"This is an awesome game. If you own a NeoGeo Pocker Color you gotta have it."
This is one of the best Sonic games ever. I love the new features and options like no time limit and the continue option. Plus there are no old levels. They have all been completely redesigned and renamed from the old ones which they are based on. The puzzle peice system gives it much more replay value than other Sonic games. The bonus levels are a lot of fun but can be frustrating at times. The 2-player and trial options are really fun, too. Race a friend or your own times.
Graphics:10/10
The game is colorful and easy to see and there is no slow-down in it despite how fast Sonic moves and how much action there is on-screen. The enemies are very detailed, too.
Control:9/10
The controls are easy to use and responsive but sometimes a pain when you are trying to do a specific thing and mess up causing you to lose all your rings. But that doesn't happen very often. Most of the time the controls work fine.
Sound:8/10
The music isn't repetitive and it isn't the best thing you've ever heard either. The sound effects and music don't make much of a difference when playing so feel free to turn down the music and crank up a CD.
Replay Value:10/10
I have been playing the game a lot and only made a dent in all of the things to do. There are 96 puzzle peices and 7 Chaos Emeralds to collect. Once you've got all those a bonus level opens up giving you a new challenge to complete.
The no time limit option is very helpful when complety searching the levels.
Originality:4/10
This game is way too much like other Sonic games in some aspects but the puzzle peices and the continue option give it some originality as well as other things in it.
Overall:10/10
Get this game if you are a Sonic fan. It isn't perfect, but it is a really great game.
