I am going to make this introduction short. The reason why I made this
guide is to help save the troubles of the experienced players from
answering the same question twenty times. I hope that the message
board, for this game, can get more legitimate question, instead of the
“lols i ned halp plz”. So, I hope you enjoy this guide!
I would also like to say that this guide is not 100%. Please spare me
the time from reading email saying, “YOU’RE WRONG ON EVERYTHING. MAKE
ANOTHER FAQ NOW!” If you do find any mistakes on this, bring it up in
the message board or email it to me.
There will be updates for this guide. Do not expect the updates to be
big. Unless I decide to either, add a lot of stuff or edit the look of
the whole guide.

Before you people freak out since this game is in Japanese, I’ll guide
you on how to navigate through this. It’s easy to navigate, really,
since most of the options are in English. So, let’s get this game
started!
After all of the loading, you’ll get into a screen with a silhouette of
a butterfly and petals falling to the bottom of the screen. There are
four different options to choose from, and they are:

-*- 4. Rename Account -*-

So, do the obvious by choosing the second option. Again, don’t panic
since you are seeing more Japanese than the previous screen. These are
the controls to navigate through this mess.
Triangle – Switch Character Set
Square – Space
Circle – Select
X – Erase
Start – Finish
This is what we are going to do. First, if you want to enter your name
in Japanese, you otaku you, just enter the name you want in hiragana,
which the first set. If you hit the triangle once, you’ll end up in the
katakana section. If you want to enter your name in English, hit the
triangle button twice. The English section also has the Kanji (Chinese
characters), so if you want to use them, go right ahead. If you
wondering what the right three kanji’s in the right of the screen, they
are as follows (top to bottom):

-Delete Character
-Finish
After you are done with everything, hit start and circle to accept.
Then a menu will come up to confirm the name that you want. Choose the
left choice to say yes.
After you have done that, just sit back and watch the two mini
introductions.
When you are finish with the introduction, you’ll be in the main screen
with the silhouette of the butterfly and the petals falling. *Author’s
note: I love the music for this section, if anyone can tell me what
it’s called, I would appreciate it* Press the start button then there
are two options. The GAME START allows you go to into the game. The
LIMITED SITE, it’s practically an useless option, just skip it.
Now you are in the main menu for this game! Go to the next sections to
get the low down on what each of the options does.

In this section, I will be explaining the basics of each choices you
can choose from. I'll be covering on choices from story to bonus/shop.
So, I'll start with the story mode.

Story mode (the option with Orhime) is similar to other games that has
it. You basically choose a character, advance through a plot by
fighting certain amount of battles. I can't really add in the
translation to the dialouges, not only it will take a long time, but I
can't understand any of dialogue. Here are the list of characters you
can use in the story mode.

Free Battle (the option with Ichimaru) is basically a generic fight
with an AI. You can use any characters for this mode.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
-*- Time Attack --- {tam} -*-
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Time Attack (the option with Toushiro) is what the name implies. In
this mode, you try to win as many battle as possible, within the 30
minutes that give you. All characters are available in this mode.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
-*- Survival -- {svm} -*-
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Survival (the option with Renji) has one goal, to see how many battles
you can win before you die. There isn't more to explain to make this
more clear (as if it wasn't clear already). All the characters are
available in this mode.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
-*- Gotei 13 Mode - {gtm} -*-
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Gotei 13 Mode (with option with Byakuya) is probably one of the most
annoying modes ever created on the face of the planet. What it is, you
fight in each of in the 13 squads available (except for the first
squad) and become the captain in each squad. In order to unlock the
First Squad, you have to finish the other 12 squads. However, you can
unlock a character by becoming captain in all squads. All characters
are available in this mode.
Sounds easy, doesn't? *BZZZ* WRONG! To reach the captain in each
squads, you have to fight more than (reported to be the lowest) 50
battles. That is if you get lucky, it is normal to get about 60 to 70
battles! I know what you are saying right now, "WTF I AM NOT DOING
THIS!” Unless you do not want to spend a good chunk of time doing this,
there is an alternative of doing this. You can enter passwords for all
twelve squads. If you really want to know the password, just open the
link below.

for all the squads, remember to start with squad 2 to squad 13, and

If you managed to enter the passwords correctly, you'll notice that
couple of windows will come up. They're just messages saying that you
have unlocked certain stuff (i.e. voice sets, galleries, etc.)
*Author's note: It's been a while since I last saw these messages, so
send me an email on what exactly you unlock* There are some passwords
that requires kanji, so try to figure out which one is which. If you
get all these passwords entered correctly, you can get the
amazing...*drum roll*...Yorichi!

Soul Mode (the option with Rukia) is the multiplayer option in this
game. I haven't played it, so I don't have much to say.

VS CPU. (the option with Ichigo) is basically free battle, but with
random computer battles. All characters are available in this mode.

To get the auto-save feature on, go to the save/load settings. From
there, you should be able to figure it out, since they're in English.

The Bonus/Shop menu (the option with Urahara) has the options to buy

To get cards in this game, it is like getting cards from the previous
version. You collect points through the Story Mode, Free Battle, Time
Attack, and Survival Mode. To get the cards, you browse though the
menus until you reach into the shop section (A picture with Urahara
with a fan, the guy in a green suit and hat). Hit the accept button and
you will go to a section with three different things to choose from.

Card Shop – A section where you can buy cards.
Password – A section where you can enter passwords for points. (I don’t
know any passwords, perhaps I can get some in the next update)
Card Gallery – A section where you can view your nifty looking cards.
As it says, go into the Card Shop. Then you will be given a set of four
cards, but they have their backs facing toward you. This means that
this is going to be random each time you buy one. These cards cost
about 100 points, and there are 217 to collect (which means that it
going to cost a lot of money, not to mention that you can get
duplicates).
What’s the point in collecting these cards? As you buy cards in this
game, you can unlock extras. You can unlock things like sound bits,
picture galleries, and even Sealed Sword Ichigo, from the previous

I don't have any real tips to give. So I'll impart to you, the reader,
my short knowledge of this game.
Tip #1: Yourichi and Byakuya are the only characters in the game that
can easily spam with their flash steps. This is a good way to defeat
your in a cheap manner.
Tip #2: Certain characters have a strain of combo's that they can
unleash on enemies, without giving the enemy a chance to fight back.
There was one for Rukia, which my brother does, that can easily destroy
the enemy without giving opponent the chance to fight back. If my
memory serves me right</Kaga>, it only really work if you can hit the
enemy at the right.
Tip #3: Toushiro's circle combo is pretty beastly. You can land a good
14 hit within four strokes. So, take him into a consideration while
playing this game. (He happens to be my favorite non-cheap character)

Question #1: Does this game work on an American PSP?
Answer: Yes, you can run Bleach HtS2 on an American PSP. I don’t think
you would have to update the firmware (if you are one of those type of
guys, if you get my drift).
I’m not sure whether it can work on an European PSP. If you can answer
that, just give me an email and I’ll give you credit for it.
Question #2: Are there any bankai’s. I want to do some badass damage!
Answer: No, there aren’t any bankai’s in this game. Don’t ask me why
there aren’t any. My only guess is the fact that this game was released
before they revealed the most of the bankai’s in the anime. If anyone
has a better explanation for this, feel free to share it with me. If it
sounds logical, I’ll put it in this guide and give you credit.
Question #3: Should I really get this game?
Answer: That is entirely up to you. It’s a fun game to play, but (IMO)
it gets pretty repetitive after a while.
However, there will be a third installment to the series. That game
will come out July 20th, 2006. Apparently, this game will have 33
characters, which will include all the captains *Woot for Kenpachi!*,
and different battle modes. So, if you can wait for a couple of months
for the third game, go right ahead.
Question #4: How do I get Yoruichi?
Answer: You get her as a prize for completing the Gotei 13 Squad Mode.
You can do it the long way by becoming the captain in each squad. In
order to become captain, you have to fight an unnecessary amount of
battles until you encounter the captain (Whose name should be in red
text). If you don’t want to do that, there is an alternative to get
Yoruichi. I'll explain it in the next question.
Question #5: Okay, what's the easier way to get Yoruichi?
Answer: First you have to unlock the password page that can be found in
the menu with the two options GAME START and LIMITED SITE. *Author’s
note: Don't confuse this password menu with the one in the card
section.* In order to unlock this option, you have to beat the story
mode with all the characters in it (like I how I mentioned in the story
mode). If you are confused by the kanji, don’t worry, that’s the right
one. After you go select the option, you’ll see a screen just like when
you had to enter your name. Just type the passwords found in this link.

*Author’s note: Don’t forget about what I said about the passwords. If
you don’t remember, here it is. When you are inputting the passwords
in, input the SECOND squad’s pass FIRST, and then the rest. The reason
is that, you need to unlock the first squad by completing the other 12
first. So, just enter the password for squads 2 to 13, and then enter
the first squad’s password.*
