Does it merely have to be equipped and it works on its own? or must i use it in battle as an item?
also, can i use it more than once? or does it disappear once i use it once?
You have to equip it as an item and use it in battle(It is a consumable). The best way is to "mystic" the item so all characters will get the increase instead of just the character using it.
