Atari Classics Evolved

I need step by step instructions on unzipping the file. Don't know what I am doing wrong but the PSP displays that it reads the game data but no profile is found and then forces me to create one only to yield none of the awards unlocked. I had under ten of the 44 goals to complete only to give up and download the file. How do I make my PSP read the save file?
For now I just hope someone who has used rpgfaker's save file will put me on the path to ATARI 2600. Right now I am at my wits end and need to rest my discombobulated mind.
I've used gamefaqs a while now and just subscribed...FINALLY!
